I am so happy to be the one to add this wonderful, new company to Yelp…read more My husband and I got to talk to the owner and his stepdaughter during our visit to Finely Market last weekend (June 21,2025). They are very nice and were happy to answer all our questions. We were able to sample these amazing rubs and decided to purchase one of each of the 3 varieties. They offer one for beef (Blazing Bull), one for poultry (Fiery Fowl), and one for veggies (Veggie Vibe ). Don't let the names fool you. I love spicy food and I didn't think they were very spicy at all. Just really great flavors that are well balanced with a kick. If you love it spicy, just add more. My personal favorite is the Veggie Vibe. It's only been 3 days and I have already used it on scrambled eggs, in my husband's favorite dish, grilled shrimp with poblano sauce and I even used it on my grilled salmon. The rub really added an extra layer of flavor to all the dishes. So, I know this one will definitely be a staple in my spice cabinet If you can't get to Findley Market, you can also find these rubs at both Jungle Jim's locations in the hot sauce section or you can order off their website and have them shipped to your home. I hope you give them a try. I think you'll be happy that you did.

Once I'm done with my first two bottles, I'm going back. This has enhanced some of my dishes. Definitely encourage Findlay Market goers to give this a try.

Folks it doesn't get any better than this. Ummhumm. This little shop has about everything you can think of. Covered wall to wall with great quality and a lot of local items from art. toys, fashion, snack and dip mixes scarves. You name it they might have it. You have to check out The Cozy Cottage in Bellevue. It's a perfect fit in the historic up and coming area. I believe The Cozy Cottage has been there a long time. This was my second visit. Super friendly clerk. Interesting when we arrived to get our Savory Cracker mix no one was in the store. Not a real concern since it is located in Bellevue which is one of the towns left today where they could pr leave your doors unlocked and keys in your car without worry. In comes the clerk with a warm cup of local coffee from the coffee shop across the street. This place will bring you back to simpler times. We chatted for around 15 minutes and bought a few more dip mixes. I can't say enough about The Cozy Cottage. I will pass the word along and definitely be back again. No doubt.

American Girl Doll dresses. Little kid accessories. More learning base items for kids like placemats with math on them. Outside of the kids stuff they had a bunch of cards for Easter. They had cookie cutters, tea towels and also some locally made food. Like Olive oils and soups and beer bread. The lady running the place was super nice and welcoming. She was nice to my cousin Jack too and I really appreciated it. I would suggest going to this place for small cute gifts, at home decorations or things for your kid or anyone else's. Also, it may not be a cottage but it is cozy in this store and it smells super good.

Highly successful businesses have outgrown the market and moved on to standalone businesses. And other shops have fizzled out. But I'm thrilled that Colonel De's has been a mainstay in this spot. Colonel De's is not a big chain, but they are a little one. The original is in Findlay Market in Cincinnati, and as of this writing there's also a satellite across the river in Newport. Colonel De's also does a mail order business, but that's it for offices. And the spices are great. They make a lot of their own blends and they have pretty much all the basics. They are not as cheap as some of the crap you can find at the grocery store, but they are definitely a notch better. And I'm pretty sure they look affordable when compared to some national chains. My favorite aspects, besides the convenience of coming here, include the fact that you can bring your own container, and the experience more generally that the people they've had working here have always been very helpful and approachable. Friendly place, great spices, super convenient, and you can grab an arepa or a bagel or a beer while you're running your errand. Skip the spice aisle at Kroger. Come here and get better stuff.

There are areas for different types of meat, like chicken, pork, beef. There are also soup mixes. And even dip mixes! I have gotten a few spice packets for myself before, and plan to get a gift set as a gift for a dirty Santa. I think it would make a perfect Christmas gift for those who love to cook, or those who generally love to experiment.
