There's no way I could have done it without her; being able to relate to a fellow runner and learn SO much about taking care of my body at the sam time was more than I could've asked for in a PT. From the bottom of my heart- Thank you!!! I came into Athletico with pain in my knee so severe that it hurt to walk, and left being able to run a marathon pain free!!! Throughout my time in the clinic I experienced nothing less than a caring, personal, and professional environment from all members on staff. Not only will these therapists get the job done, they will care/think about you every step the way. The office staff is incredible - Dawn and Karin have been there longer than when I started going, and they are also incredibly kind and helpful and dedicated to this practice. This office really provides the personalized one-on-one care you hope for, and I'm grateful that I'm able to use my insurance there. The biggest difference in the treatment I receive here is it is mostly hands-on care to treat pain (cupping, dry needling, starting off by laying on large heated table, ultrasound therapy, etc), vs others have been focused on doing exercises the majority of the visit. I've had good experiences generally at those practices too, but never received any of the services I receive here at those places. Terry has shown me some things I can do at home to help, and your mileage may very with how your treatment is because he really does tailor to the individual's needs. There are also 3 other physical therapists there, but I've only ever seen Terry, but I'm sure just by being part of the team they are also great to see. As he has even put on his website, shop around because it's your body and your money! So include Grapevine PT in your choices of places to try to find the best fit for your needs, you'll probably end up choosing them for most or all of your care!

As a middle-aged guy who is pretty accident-prone, I have had a lot of experience getting physical…read moretherapy from a variety of providers. Joints in Motion is, far and away, the best physical therapy provider that I have ever used. I have been working with Eric at Joints in Motion for the last 3 months as I recover from rotator cuff surgery and cannot say enough positive about the experience. Rotator cuff surgery recovery is not fun, but Joints in Motion has made things immeasurably better. There are several things that set Joints in Motion apart from other therapy places where I have gone. First, it is clear during each of my sessions that there is a plan in place for my therapy. Unlike other places I have gone, I have never found myself standing around waiting for a therapist to figure out what I should be doing or waiting between exercises because a therapist is tending to another patient. It is clear that they respect my time and prioritize maximizing my progress without unnecessarily wasting my time. Second, Eric is great about explaining what I'm doing, how it helps, what my progress looks like, and giving advice on things that I can do at home. I have a bad tendency to be a control freak which invariably causes me to ask lots of questions. Eric has always patiently answered them fully in a way that is understandable to a layperson. Third, the facility itself is well-equipped and a really good size. I did not appreciate how important that space issue was until I went to Joints in Motion. At other therapy places where I have been, it was often hard to work around other patients who were operating close by. At Joints in Motion, there is plenty of space to spread out so that patients don't impede one another during a therapy session. I live less than 5 minutes from another physical therapy provider, but it is a no-brainer that, despite it being a 25-minute drive from my house to Joints in Motion, that the extra drive well be well-worth it the next time I manage to injure myself.

I had an emergency surgery on my finger joint back in December due to an unfortunate incident…read more After my surgery, I was told I needed occupational therapy. So I started to search around to see who would be able to have my insurance cover it. Vista Physical Therapy in Alliance gave me a call back and let me know they accept my insurance and that it would be covered. So I signed up with them for twice a week with my $25 copay. I walked in one day at the beginning of February (One and a half months after starting with them) and saw a weird balance on my account. I got worried because, I am already on a tight budget with everything else as is. So before I went in, I had them look to see what that was. The woman at the front assured me it was a mistake on the address for the insurance company and that everything was covered and good. She told me to just make my copay payment. So sure enough, I went for another month without anything being said to me about it. I paid everytime I went in and have an emailed receipt for every visit. In March, I get a call. Apparently, my insurance never covered occupational therapy and only would cover physical therapy. So they told me my balance was over $3k. First off, I confirmed with them 4 different times to make sure it was covered. You don't sell someone on a $25 copay and then come back and go "oh by the way, it actually wasn't covered and its going to be over $100 per session". Thats the business' mistake and the appropriate thing to do would have been to say "Hey, we messed up. Thats on us but going forward this is what you would need to pay per session". I would have never spent over $1k a month on 2 times a week when I already owe thousands in other medical bills. I've already spoken to a medical lawyer. I am very appalled by the situation and the way they handled it. I would like to note that the only reason I have 2 stars is because my therapist, Tori, was great.
