This place may be great for pros, but don't go here if you're a vape-novice.
I'll be honest - I was pretty intimidated coming into this place. They've got tons of plastic bottles filled with what I assume is "juice", t-shirts sporting brands I've never heard of, a fish tank... If you're a vape dude/gal then I could see this being the place for you.
But I can only review based on my experience - which, in terms of vaping, is a big goose-egg. I was interested in vaping as a step down from cigarette smoking. I had some advice from friends and did some cursory research, but thought it would be best to do some old-fashioned face-to-face consultation at a local place in my neighborhood.
I walk in, guy stands up and walks behind a glass counter filled with a bunch of confusing foreign devices. So I tell the man, "I know nothing about vaping, my friend has a *blank* and he likes it". Man behind the counter: "Yea, we sell 'em". Friend and I pick out a couple flavor inserts for the *blank*, go to cash out.
AFTER being rung out, the dude behind the counter goes, "are you familiar with this device?" I say yes, because I thought it was more of like "I know it still delivers nicotine in a not-so-safe way and are you aware it's not great for you". And he mentions off-hand that they used to not carry them. I ask why. He says, I shit you not, and this is AFTER I completed my purchase... "It's a terrible device"
He goes on to say it's not healthy, there's better stuff out there, etc. But what the hell man? I already paid! Now I gotta make a return or something? And spend more time in this awkward, judgmental, conversation? Goddamn, I was already intimidated walking in the door. Why didn't you say anything when I told you I had no idea what I was doing? You were supposed to be my steward!
I just gave a nervous laugh and said "Cool - Thanks anyways!" while walking out the door.
So yea, they got my money, maybe I'm a fool, but the experience was pretty terrible. (And so far, I've loved the *blank*.) read more
