The shop is very small and often gets uncomfortably crowded, a main factor with this charity shop is the clothes can be very over priced, even things you wouldn't expect. It's very hit or miss here but they do have a range of their own goods, crystal and glassware, christmas gifts and cards. Not one of my favourite charity shops but it is worth a look as they do have a lot of new books here.

The heart foundation charity shop in Swansea is quite small, but always seems to have a good selection of different things. They are always displayed well, and the staff are friendly and pleasant. My only complaint is the size of the shop, which is quite pokey, and also the price of some items is quite high considering they are second hand. But I guess the shop does have to cover it's runnung costs! Definitely worth a look.

The stock is a bit more expensive than you'd find in other charity shops, but the profits are going to a good cause, so I try not to let it sway my opinion too much. This Oxfam boasts one of the larger shop floors, perfect for stocking items like furniture, which I've found is bizarrely difficult to come by in charity shops on this side of the Atlantic. Even if you're not a bargain hunter, this Oxfam boast a range of new fair-trade items as well. The staff here are absolutely lovely, happy to engage in an afternoon chat or equally happy to let you browse its wide selection of books, bric-a-brac and other home ware essentials.

I nearly went to work for Oxfam, but instead I ended up working with the Body Shop in India. I was responsible for setting up manufacturing projects in a very poor area in the South, working with women with polio disabilities and leprosy. It was amazing, but I do wonder if my choices had been different, where my work with Oxfam would have taken me...Anyway, I digress... Oxfam... Yes! I love these people, there's no two ways about it. Their charity shops are always well manned, and professionally put together. I like the fact that they stock new fair trade items as well as the secondhand goods, and it has often proven to be a lifesaver where the coffee is concerned! Shops like this BHF are the reason why I've just crested the halfway point in my little endeavour. Their huge selections of second hand books let me while away the hours hunting down my chosen prey. This British Heart Foundation is particularly impressive in this respect, having an entire back wall dedicated to second hand books. It's the kind of place where, even if you're looking for something specific, you're going to be leaving with a couple of things you didn't plan for. And that's never a bad thing.

It's situated just off the M4 on the outskirts of Bridgend and has ahuge range of pet food, country clothing and equestrian goods. They are a stockist of the Joules range of clothes which I always love as well as Hunter wellies, Barbour jackets etc. The store also has a garden centre with a wide range of plants/shrubs etc and a recently opened reptile centre. They offer a repair service for garden machinery and there is ample parking available which is handy if you need to transport a lawn mower there eg for servicing. They have a good range of homeware, as well as toys with an agricultural theme for any little budding farmers in the family as well as books on how to look after your dog, horse etc If you live in the country or want to embrace the country life then this is the place for you!!!!

Also there are plenty of restaurants meaning it's a full afternoon out. The store its self is fairly large inside and holds a good stock level in all of its departments.
