The article is framed near the register. Here's another fun fact: for many years (but not recently) the owner, Rosemary, placed her old, unsold flowers on the sidewalk, for anyone to take. These "bum bouquets" as she quaintly titled them, also drove customers in the door, because they briefly brightened nearby homes, and neighbors became fans of fresh-cut produce. I came in the door and just spat it out. "I have an eight year-old who's about to do a ballet recital, I need something." Rosemary quickly got to work. "I bet she likes lavender? Girls love lavender." Definitely. The bouquet, which took some time to clip and arrange, was $28 of beauty. If you're paying with credit there's a $20 minimum, that's a pretty mandatory spend to buy love, which is what you're doing with flowers, you know that, right? You're literally buying love, and it smells much, much better than you do.

There wasn't a lot going on so I checked put some of the small shops surrounding the plaza and area to see what was still open late. Not much was open, as is the norm. But one little shop back in a corner, had its lights on. I walked up and there was a lady and a guy playing with some kids out front. The lady saw me coming and invited me in and went in herself. It was a brightly lit shop, small, but full of knickknacks and arrangements. There was succulents, hanging ferns and other types of plants. There were many cute plants that were perfect to get as a gift as well. The nice gal working the counter chatted me up, and made some suggestions too. I picked out a couple things. She had some tips on how to take care of them. When she rang me up she offered to wrap them and did so beautifully. I'm sure there are some bigger shops, but if your down this way its a nice place to stop in.

I always like to go to a variety of nurseries across town to check out the deals on different plants and you'll often find a great deal on one at one place but then find a great deal on a different plant at another, it's just always good to look around. I've been working on some projects in my yard and while I'm not ready to buy, I did find some good stuff here for both indoor and outdoor planting. The parking situation is not great at all. I feel really bad saying that because it's just kind of their reality but it's always a hassle.
