My AC unit went down on Saturday, July 9. I have a home warranty with American home Shield. AHS…read morecontracted with AUS Air in Plano Texas--I couldn't get a hold of anyone. I left repeated messages. Texas is right in the middle of a serious heat wave. And I was without air-conditioning. I went SIX DAYS--without AC. On Thursday, July 14 the technician showed up. He went around trying to diagnose the problem. He then determine that mice had gotten to one of my ground wires. And the wire was under the house. He looked at me and said that it would not be covered by home warranty work. And they would probably have to tear out walls to find the break. They would have to open up the walls and trace the wiring to find out where the problem is that. The cost would be about $395 or more. NOT COVERED by my warranty! PLUS they probably couldn't get to it till AT LEAST Monday. It was only supposed to get hotter in Texas. In a panic I called the FIRST person on the Google search-- totally random! Mike, picked up the phone--no recorded message! A REAL person! I explained him the situation and he said he would try to get to me later that afternoon. At about 6:30 he shows up at my house. The hunt for the busted wire began--he finally determined that the break was probably under the house. And it was concealed under some insulation. If you know Texas, the last place you wanna go is under a house in the summer! Snakes, skunks, spiders, HEAT-plus it is totally confined. Under my house Nick went! He is a big guy too! He crawled through this small hole and followed the wire. He cut out a 10 foot section of wire the mice had gotten to! No holes in my wall-- no new wire! It was just a replacement of the old chewed wire. Within about 45 minutes I had AC-- he flush out my AC unit-- we briefly talked about a replacement unit-- AND he fixed a heating wire that was burnt out that AUS Air had failed to tell me about. I cannot recommend this guy any more! Good service is just that and my AC runs like a champ! The fee was LESS than AUS Air of Plano was gonna charge me! I think from now on I will skip American Home Shield and pay this outta pocket! In mid July it is simply worth it when its 100+outside! Hotter inside! Thank You Mike!! Well Done!

UPDATE: I was…read morecontacted by the Customer Service manager. She actually was able to make it right. I feel like i have been made whole and properly compensated for the issues below. It took awhile to get to this point, but im glad that I'm able to work with a company who will make it right when they make a mistake. My advice for anyone experiencing issues with teh customer service is Just be sure to to get in contact with the right people. ---------------------------------- I purchased a solar window unit and panels in a kit from signature solar with the intention to keep my family cool in the event of an emergency. Well... that emergency came this July, and i quickly found out that the supposed new unit i purchased was dirty and obviously had wear and tear from previous use. It was Emergency I went ahead with the install. I then quickly learned that Signature solar hadn't shipped me any of the elements need to safely mount this thing to my window either. I had to rapidly cobble together a stand to support the unit, which probably voided the warranty. Luckily the unit worked and me, my kids, and my wife were able to make it through. I called signature solar the next day to let them know what happened and that i was not satisfied with what i had received, nor the stressful situation they had put me in by shipping me a dirty damaged unit with none of the mounting. The service I got from signature solar was terrible. They wouldn't offer compensation, or send me the missing parts to mount the unit. They would only offer a replacement unit, but..... I would have to ship back the old unit following through a burdensome process which i would be forced to partake in. I would have to coordinate this return with a freight carrier, find and set up a pallet and properly secure the window unit to it, haul it a warehouse and make sure the freight carrier handled correctly. That is a ridiculous expectation to have for your customer to do when your company is the party responsible for several mistakes. And Top it all off... They still after weeks haven't shipped me the new unit. Don't buy from these people. They have lost my future business. And what is sad is that I actually like the product. But when EG4 allows sorry companies like Signature Solar to be their distributor, it ruins their image and their end customers trust in the market place.
