Worst experience ever !!!! Brien said i needed a ac condenser and a dryer unit and then quoted me a price of $1156.00 for labor and parts. He said parts were $650 and the rest was labor. I thought to myself that's really high for the parts and done some research and come to find out ac condenser $150 and dryer $50. I called him back and he said for me to bring in the parts and he would do it for a little over $500. So I bring in the parts and he said it will be completed in a few hours. After 8 hours later he said that he had to replace the expansion valve and charged me $106.59 for a $18.99 part at Auto Zone. So I go to pick up my vehicle and was charged $694 for an ac condenser fan still running when i dropped it off. He changed the ac condenser fan and replaced the expansion valve with out my approval, because I would have went out and bought it like I did the ac condenser fan and dryer unit. He returned the new dryer unit back to me and left me with a $694.31 dollar bill for a $19 dollar part and said he saved me money... What a joke. At the end of the day the paper receipt says $106.94 for a $19 dollar part I could of bought just like I bought the ac condenser for $135 and dryer unit for $45 and brought it to him and he quoted $650 for both parts. I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK TO THAT SO CALLED BUSINESS A G A I N !!!!! And also they lie lie. Never again read more

Realized when I got home they didn't do one of the services I requested and my rim was scratched. Called to get a refund for the service not done and was told to come back up for it or they had to refund me in person. Mentioned multiple times about the scratched rim and was told the technician couldn't have done it as it was only driven into the bay. Scratches weren't there when dropped off and instead of 1 hour quoted for an oil change and tire rotation it became over 4 hours due to having to go back plus whatever cost I'll have to fix my rim. We went inside to see if they could run a diagnostic and the guy up front was very stern and rude. We asked a simple question and he didn't seem very happy about us asking it. He also didn't seem to want to hear about the problem of the truck to maybe give us an idea of the issue instead they had to have it for a few days. read more

Replied that i have a 8 am appointment for wheel alignment. He looked at his list and cannot find mu name, I peaked at his list and saw my name scribbled at the end of the list. He said oh we have to reschedule you on Monday, because somebody quit on us. I was like how come nobody called me. He was like I don't have your number. So nobody wrote down my number. I just wasted my time going to this place, guy didn't even apologized, like he is just ready for me to leave. Well, I left and will never come, and this business will not even recommendation. RPM= " REALLY PRICEY MECHANICS" ! Had my wife's van in the Honda dealership last week for a door issue and during their routine inspection it was recommended for future service to have the serpentine belt and rear break pads replaced. Was assured that the rotors were currently fine. So I purchased the belt at O'reilly's and scheduled the repair at RPM / Fleming on Presidents day since my wife was off. Gave RPM / Fleming Island the belt and requested this repair. I received a call later in the day stating " your vehicle was ready for pick up and the bill was $781 !!!! After a lot of push back they finally agreed to drop the price to $402. Which was still a bit high considering the most expensive rotors ( which did'nt need changed ) are $129 for the pair! beware of price gouging at this location! read more

Upon walking in the door, i was greeted immediately by Silvia. She was very very nice, infact, all the employees here were very nice. They were pretty busy when I got here so it's taking an hour for my oil change. The waiting area is very kid friendly, there are lots of toys to occupy them. They have little treats for them too! Took VW jetta in for check engine light, thermostat for cooling system, $350. Service manager Dan, then said car was hard to start needs fuel injection pump for $1800 and that the Bosch fi pump can't be fixed. RED FLAG! Also ask RPM to check airconditioner, said the ac clutch was knocked off, and they need to replace the complete unit for $2400, this was an outright lie - car will not run if the sepertine belt was on the ac compressor. Mentioned to Dan that fact, he just said thats what his mechanic said. Took car to the local diesel fuel injection pump service place and they said they didn't see or hear a problem with the pump, but said might want to replace filters to be on the safe side. Then I took car to local vw specialist (Chiefs rotors & motors) said to repair air conditioner needed one small part, and confirmed what the fuel injection specialist said. Month later, colder tempertures car was hard to start, checked 6 year old battery, replaced it, problem fixed. read more

Problem with this RPM is the condescending attitude of Sam, the manager. Loved Valorie and Bob and have been with RPM since they opened. We have had maintenance on 5 vehicles completed at this facility, including an entire re-wire of a vehicle, but will not be returning. Questioning why a check engine light returns after service was not received well and I was just trying to understand the issues. Sometimes it's the simple things that make your establishment work. Terrible service and misdiagnosis at the Fleming Island location. Walked into the shop to 2 guys behind the counter glued to their phones. I had to greet them when I walked to the counter as there was no greeting as I stood in front of them. I tell them the issues that I'm having with my sunroof motor and I also would like an oil change. One gentleman turns to the other and says "do we do that here?" The gentleman questioned looked at me and said with a smirk..."I can look at it but it won't be today...maybe tomorrow." So, I get a call back 24hrs later and they tell me that my sunroof track bars are bent and there's sludge in the engine and it will be $3700. I asked them to do the oil change and skip the sunroof. Then, I get a call back and I'm told that there's too much sludge in the engine and that "they're not up for taking on this job." So, I take the vehicle to Garber Ford and....they fix the sunroof motor as there are NO track bars bent and they replace the oil pressure switch and do an oil change...and there was absolutely no sludge found in the engine. So it appears that the guys running the Fleming Island location need to go back to mechanic school as they just cost there location money and sent their customer to their competition. We took our daughters car to RPM Automotive in Fleming island and were quoted close to $900 for mul things wrong with the vehicle including a batter, an alternator and a few other things. We had it taken to another mechanic and it turned out it was only 2 belts that cost $200.00. Please check around before you are charged for a bunch of work that is not needed to repair your car. I didn't have an appointment and they immediately assisted me and checked out/solved the problem, in addition to helping me answer/fix a few other questions/concerns about my vehicle. I just took my truck into them for the same problem I had only 3,000 miles ago that they supposedly fixed, and they wont do anything to help me. My truck is doing exactly the same thing it was before, but because they're now getting a different error code, they won't do anything. I've paid them to work on it before, but I wont make that mistake again. Gus was also really rude to me. Sorry, I get upset when you put a bandaid on my truck and it ends up breaking down with a bigger problem in only 3,000 miles. read more

Very disappointed. Used to be THE place for us to take our three cars. Their costs have skyrocketed over the past year! Compare prices on line before having them do any work. They wanted to charge me $653 to repair/replace an ABS control module (highest on line cost for parts and labor I could find was $480) and $463 for a EGR repair (highest cost on line for EGR parts and labor is $250). They also charged a couple hundred more for diagnostics and don't provide a credit towards the repair. What a shame; have to find a new repair shop. read more

this shops shotty work almost killed me today! they put in two axles for me a couple weeks ago and today as I drove home in rush hour the steering/tire control rod came unattached so I had no steering in my car. they'll be lucky if I dont sue them for endangering my life. read more

Yes, they did fix the problem only to find out on the way home that they half-way completed it. So we are still do this day wondering what else they managed to screw up with electronics since my car hasn't driven correctly since they had it. All in all they are good with little stuff but if you need something serious like dealing with car electronics and car brains than turn around. read more
