My request was promptly answered, requesting both my name and flight number, and assuring me that my flight would be monitored and I would be picked up curbside upon arrival. When I landed, my phone pinged at 9:45pm that i would not be picked up due to "mechanical problems" and that i would have no problem getting a cab at the airport. There were no cabs. There were a total of 3 to service the entire airport. It took me over 2 hours to finally locate an Uber that was willing to take me to my destination. After traveling all day on an international flight, Allied could not have put me in a worse position. When i let them know what was happening, there was no response at all. AVOID this company as they are completely unreliable.

Alabama knows how to Celebrate Christmas! This rest stop…read morehas tons of Christmas Trees up all year round in their lobby Celebrating the Magic of Christmas, as Christmas is the most magical here! At Home Sweet Home Alabama! One of the best places to visit during Christmas is in nearby Mobile County, Alabama, where they hosts "Magic Christmas in Lights" each year. Located on the grounds of "Bellingrath Gardens" it's one of the best Christmas light displays in the U.S. There is tons of info located in the lobby about all things Alabama. It's a great stop with a beautiful lobby with multiple Christmas trees for all your insta selfies & viewing pleasure. A beautiful large "park like" setting outside, with super clean restrooms inside. Highly Recommend.

They are at mile marker 65.8, so in essence, we know that I-10 through Alabama is roughly 66 miles long. My visit here was on August 25, 2022. The weather on this day wasn't so good. It would be nothing but rain all day long. Making this stop at the welcome center was totally needed to get out of the car for a bit, as well as getting off the rainy roads. It was coming down pretty heavy at times. It was great to get inside, use the restroom, and just check things out on the inside of the building. Due to the rain, I didn't do anything outside there on that visit. Even though it was raining, they do have plenty of open outdoor space here. Although the visitor center is open from 8 am to 5 pm, restrooms and such are open 24 hours daily. The Alabama Welcome Centers have all been very welcoming. The inside of the building was really nice. Let's start with the restrooms. The restrooms were in great shape. They were well stocked and clean. The rest of the welcome center was nice too. Each area of inside was broken down into different parts of the state. They were broken up into the Highlands, Plantation, Wiregrass, and Gulf Coast regions. It was very well organized. When traveling along I-10 West, you will go through the Wiregrass and then the Gulf Coast sections of the state. Overall, this was a very nice welcome center, which is something I have always experienced for the ones in Alabama. Even in bad weather, it is still worth making the stop to come inside. You can get maps, construction info for the state, and more. The staff there were great as well. If your travels take you into Alabama along I-10 West, you should definitely make that stop here.
