The UPS here is in a prime location- right near a Dollorama , Bosley's, Shopper's Drug Mart, an a skytrain station. The woman at the counter today had exceptional customer service skills. She had a large purple and pink button on her shirt that said something like "I'm happy, ask me how" and so I asked her. Although I am genuinely a happy person, I couldn't help but ask her about this large button! She was fairly vague about it. I then asked her if it had something to do with the cross around her neck (as I'm a Christian) and she said no. She said she no longer has that 2:00 lull in her day because of one specific thing she does that makes her happy and no longer tired. She said she can't explain it but that it works, and that if I want to know more about it, she can send me a video and I can decide to do whatever I want with it. I wrote my email address on a notepad for her and will be waiting to hear back. For all I know, she's going to send me some information about a cult hahaha. I will update to let you all know. I liked this conversation starter. Our world is more connected yet more lonely than ever and I liked the way she brought humanity and deeper human connection into an everyday errand for me. WORKER WANTED TO FIGHT ME!…read more Came in on Oct.8.25 to ship a small package but almost turned in a fight when I asked the middle aged Indian worker/heavyweight boxer for details about filling out the form. I wanted to know why and what the form was, to which he started raising the volume of his tone, saying, "YOU HAVE TO DO IT, YOU HAVE TO!!!" sounding very grumpy and demanding, questioning me about what's inside the package, to which I said (electronics). He then got impatient and hostile, making 2 more customers uncomfortable. I then said - "Sir can you calm down?" To which he said - "GET THE F*CK OUTTA MY STORE!!!" coming around the counter, getting in my face ready to fight me. I then got my phone out and started recording him, to which he felt uncomfortable knowing he was being filmed, so unfortunately I didn't get him on video when he got ready to box me. I was going to call 911 but didn't since he realized he's on video just days away from going viral on TikTok, so he started to control himself. But it doesn't stop there.... He starts to mock, making silly faces at me, and said - "ARE YOU SENDING DRUGS?" which you can hear in the video. I've seen him before at the store, and he's very rude and aggressive to his customers, but on this occasion he overboiled and will probably skip Thanksgiving Day this year. Never had a problem with UPS, but they need to do a better job when hiring people. Workers like this can affect the company's rep and lose customers. My review wont stop here, Im also making a YouTube video telling people to stay away from here, so stay tuned folks! If this guy doesn't treat customers with respect he will have a whole lot of angry, unhappy people to deal with.
