The initial quote was for $2000 to Overlay Pavement with a 7 year warranty. The compacting process was rushed, as the roller was only used once, contrary to standard practice that recommends at least 10 passes. This has resulted in visible tread marks and crumbling.. Additionally, minimal water was applied during the rolling process, which compromised the compaction quality. It seems this oversight occurred because the owner's grandson, was preoccupied with his mobile phone instead of ensuring sufficient moisture was applied under the roller/compactor.
After doing some research online, I noticed several red flags regarding the company
· The email address provided (info@royalpavingandmasonry.ca) bounces back, raising questions about its validity.
· Claims to have a Facebook page that does not appear to be substantiated, as no such page can be found.
· Claims to have been in business for over 20 years, there are only 3-5 reviews, which seem generic and possibly fabricated.
· Payment was requested via e-transfer to an individual employee's email address, which is unconventional for a professional business transaction. read more
