Do not deal with these scammers, came to my house for free estimate. Went to the roof and ripped the shingles claiming that the roof have lots of holes and a raccoon lives in the roof. They showed us photos that are not for our roof. The manager was showing us pictures of the holes and another 2 were ripping off more shingles. I requested the manger to put back the shingles, but he refused. He forced us to do the deal with him giving him $2000 deposit in order to staple back the shingles. These people are scammers and if you hire them they will rip your whole roof and force you to pay what they want. If there was a no star review this would be the one. They came to my aunts house offering their services. Guy went up the roof and started to sell this "family of raccoon stories" and apparently damaged the roof just show proof that the roof needed fixing; in fact and in truth, no shingles were lose on any portion of the roof before this quote. This scam apparently targets older home owners. Some might say they do business..I would rather stay away. Proof of their mischeivous work was documented by my aunt. read more

Further more to my review about the scammers of Acorn roofing and construction copy, I have received a call from so called the manager of the company who said he was on vacation and just came in to find all these bad reviews and stories and he is apologizing for what happened to all customers, his name he said is Anthony and he has an offer for me to remove my ad in return of compensation, but because he is not sincere about giving compensation, he wants me to delete the review first and then he will send money in return and off course it did not happen simply because they are scammers..please tell your friends/ neighbors not to deal with this company ! read more

Had a guy from Acorn roofing ring my doorbell to tell me the shingles were damaged and my roof needed fixing. We had just had the ENTIRE ROOF REPLACED (not just the shingles). I was happy to tell him so and shut the door in his face. Disgusting. read more

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE very high scare tactics started off with false statements of raccoons chewing holes in the roof, which obviously needed replacement. Roof quote at 14,000.00 next thing my senior handicapped brother knew it escalated to 50,000.00. Stated they would do before and after pictures, nothing as yet. The original pictures that were shown was not our roof as it was plywood not slats. Stated entire roof had to come off due to wood being rotted, which was BS the crap they put on was more flimsy than the original. Crew left "for lunch" found them after two hours working on a roof two blocks over. Demanded full payment before the job was done. Stay away from this company, I will post over and over and everywhere I can. May even take it further. read more

I also had a bad experience with "Decklan" of Acorn Roofing: He rang my doorbell saying that my roof was compromised and that he could take pictures of it for me and provide a quote. Long story short, this turned into intimidation tactics of maintaining that I was signing a contract to the tune of $4600.00 as his guys were working on the roof as we spoke. After telling him repeatedly that 1) I always seek two other quotes, and 2) that I would need to negotiate with my credit union, I wrote this into an addendum which caused him to tear up the contract trying to guilt me by saying: "This is what I get for trying to help people." I told him to knock it off. And then, found one of his buddies with a long ladder in my back yard, whom I also ushered out. I am not convinced that this pair did not actually make the holes that they photographed. If not, I still would not use that company. I am also making a police report. read more
