Koeneman also has a fairly large playground, two ball fields, and several picnic areas. These are all built around the fishing lake that serves as the park's unique and signature feature.

They had a bunch of things setup for the kids to play with and sensory experiences for them. I like the museum part of it even though it was small my daughter had a blast looking at all the animals that they had rescued from the surrounding areas. we went on a nature walk and got to see allot of really cool plants and a cabin that was move to the property from the Bellefontaine area, I think they said it was well over 100 years old. I will definitely be back with my daughter and our future children.

There was parking right out front of the visitor center and the park was not not crowded on a Sunday afternoon. My kids still vote Shaw Park as their most favorite place to play.

Lions sprawls across a couple of acres but the city of Jennings makes good use of the space. There are multiple playgrounds situated on different ends, picnic tables and a few shelters scattered throughout, and a large picnic pavilion with restrooms situated in the middle. A basketball court and horseshoe pits are other amenities.
