Super tasty quality food, I noticed that on the menu it even tells you which farm the meat came from, or where the ice cream was made etc. The Greek Lamb and the Gammon are both brilliant. The portions are huge and I'm always left with enough food for another meal but save room for the Holly Bush sundae because you wont ever have a such a selection of tasty locally made ice cream :) The prices are great too, last time I went it was around 30quid for the 2 of us.

The multiple fireplaces, exposed beams and leather couches gave me a sense that besides eating, it would be a great place to pass some time with a friend or in thought. The pub front that faces out on to the car park is covered in ivy that turns a beautiful russett colour in autumn. All you can ask for in a pub--good ales (I particularly recommend a Hobson'so), tasty food and friendly owners. Being a bit off the beaten path, this is a great place for walkers, cyclists and other outdoor lovers. Have a walk along the many paths and lanes then come to the Live and Let Live for lunch and a pint. Couldn't recommend the place more highly.

A lot of us picked from the specials board and the food came out devine and the service was outstanding. The place was busy as it was the jazz/fringe festival weekend so the clientelle was of all ages (a bit annoying having babies/kids screaming thoughout the meal) including elderly who came in through the fire door for easy access. We were incredibly pleased with how lovely the place is. Great outdoor dining area, and incredibly cosy inside. The staff were incredibly courteous, and the food was just unbelievably good. I'll admit, when I first ordered, I did think that they were a little expensive. However, it turns out that was because I was expecting the food to be of a lower standard. What they brought out to us was worth every penny. This is a fantastic little place, a hidden gem. Worth driving over an hour to go to, seriously.

It was no surprise then when I found out it was the same lady who runs the nearby campsite, The Pound. She is not a nice person to deal with, but she couldn't give a hoot how she deals with paying customers from all accounts. Pros: It's right on the River Wye and has a landing site The view of the River Wye from the beer garden is amazing The young bar staff were pleasant despite their bosses behaviour Cons: The food was just ok. My beef and mushroom pie had a gravy which which was a tad too strong The owner is not a nice person to deal with I can't imagine we'll stop here again. Myself and my husband would rather stop at a field further on the river which we've stayed at before - with sheep poo, no facilities and cook our own food - than give her our custom again. The place is a nice old pub with lots of old character plus a newer area. The old part near the bar and fireplaces is charming, comfortable, and has some nice window seating. Beer is focused on the outstanding Three Tuns beers brewed next door. These our simply outstanding beers, and the traditional cask ale s were in perfect condition. This is a huge plus and actually the main reason why we were here. Food is also excellent. We had outstanding lamb and roast pork belly, with trimmings also cooked perfectly. 5 stars. These days the buildings include not just a Victorian tower brewery and adjoining pub but a restaurant as well . As you would expect the place is full of dark wood and features . And best of all is the gorgous beer .
