Had the old ugly blue anti foul bottom paint removed, new epoxy coat painted on. Allen kept me updated the whole time on the status of the boat. The boat turned out beautiful for a nice good price.

From the moment you arrive, it feels like a true escape from the city--quiet, expansive, and surrounded by nature. The scenery alone is worth the visit. The lake is stunning, especially when the light hits the water, and the surrounding hills and greenery make it feel immersive and calming. It's the kind of place that instantly slows you down and helps you breathe a little deeper. One of the biggest highlights is the sheer number of trails available. There are so many options, whether you're looking for a casual walk, a longer hike, or something more challenging. The trails are well maintained and offer a great mix of lake views, wooded areas, and open stretches. It's also a great park because it works for so many different types of outings. You'll see hikers, runners, cyclists, families, and people just enjoying time outdoors. There's plenty of space, so it never feels overcrowded, even when it's busy. Lake Chabot Regional Park is a true gem. The natural beauty, variety of trails, and peaceful atmosphere make it a place you'll want to return to again and again. Whether you're local or just visiting, it's absolutely worth spending time here.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding my recent experience at the park and…read moremarina area. During my visit, my children and I waited nearly two hours to get on a pontoon boat while I observed management allowing other individuals to board boats based on personal relationships or favoritism. This felt unfair and unprofessional In addition the staff behavior inside the café was extremely disappointing and lacked professionalism. The only positive part of the experience was the young men working on the dock, who remained respectful and uplifting once they noticed I was upset. They handled themselves professionally despite the stressful environment around them I also noticed several safety and cleanliness concerns throughout the area. Many of the boats appeared old poorly maintained and dirty From what I observed employees were mainly instructed to spray the boats down quickly with hoses, with little to no proper cleaning supplies being used This does not appear to be an effective or safe maintenance process for equipment being used by families and visitors Another concern was the way some employees were treated by management I witnessed behavior that appeared disrespectful and unprofessional toward staff members. I strongly believe all visitors and employees should be treated with courtesy, fairness, and professionalism at all times, regardless of background or position Overall the lack of organization, customer service, assistance, and maintenance created a very frustrating experience for my family and negatively impacted our visit to the park I respectfully ask that management seriously review these concerns and take appropriate action to improve customer service, employee treatment, safety standards, cleanliness, and overall operations moving forward

The lagoon is one of Foster City's most distinguishable features. The boathouse near the Rec Center…read moreinvites you to get right in! The process of walk-up renting was quick and easy. I got a single sit-in kayak for one hour ($20). A staff member helped me sit into the kayak and, with a gentle shove, I was on my way into the wide open and calm waters. Kayaking offers a unique way of exploring the city that you cannot do on land. Navigate the waterfront properties, go under bridges, and get as close as you can to the birds. I stumbled upon a duck hangout near Catamaran Park! Just keep track of the time and the staff will be there to welcome you back on land. Until the next adventure!

It was a nice sunny day at Leo Ryan Park, so my bf and I decided to go kayak in the lagoon here…read more Well, we weren't the only ones with the same idea. There was a bit of a line and I can see the owners were trying to accommodate everyone they could. Because it was so busy, we couldn't get a double kayak, unless we waited ~1hr, so we went with the pedal boat. Although it was fun floating around the lagoon, it was super slow (as they are) and it made it difficult to turn around in when you get stuck at a dead end. The pricing was okay... it was $10 per 30 mins per person and CASH ONLY. I would definitely recommend an hour if you are going with pedal boat. I give the whole experience 3.5/5. I appreciate the owners trying their best to accommodate, but it was clear that the most popular option was the double kayak, but also the limited option, as others were also waiting for one of those to be available.

Heat wave in the 510!…read more Came here yesterday with the family to spend some time outdoors because the temperature reached 97 degrees! Parking: $5 and I didn't have any cash. Not a problem because I was able to use my card. There is street parking for free but it was way too hot to drag in our cooler. Spots: A bunch! A lot of tables and it was very busy but never felt that way because there were a lot of tables - grassy areas - for people to sit at. The grills are clean and we used two to cook on. There are lots of geese which means bird poop but we had picnic blankets to sit on. Bathroom: close by and clean! Such a plus. There is a boat rental (we didn't use this time) but also a small cafe where you can get food and icees. The kids were so happy :) Plenty of shade so it was nice to walk a bit and it didn't feel too bad.

It's beautiful to watch the sun rise over the hills, the ducks float by and my friend's dog basically choke itself on its own leash wanting to explore the grounds. Be prepared to pay $5 to park, $14 (I think) for a day pass to fish and $40 for a boat for 3-4 hours and $50 CASH for a refundable deposit for the boat. They accept credit cards for the deposit but takes days to process. So bring cash. A friend almost caught a HUGE catfish. I recorded the action on my digital camera but the line broke and the darn thing swam away. So, folks, you too can get a bite. I think the best part of the day on Lake Chabot was laying on the boat with the morning sun shining and being utterly surrounded by peace. I will definitely make it out there again moreso to relax than fish. Also, there are hilly trails for hiking and biking.
