Our roof had zero leaks, but many areas showed cupping typical of advanced wear living on Lake Huron with high winds. Zero pressure to close a deal & offered to hold his price during our time to have other bids already scheduled. Dakotah also reviewed options of various roofing materials, process, warranties, repairs, etc. We signed a contract that included a tear off, gutter cleaning, synthetic underlayment & ridge vents along with a thorough cleanup. The crew arrived at 7:30am and departed at 6pm. I highly recommend Placencia Contracting and their professional crew. Asphalt shingles by Owen's-Corning, Endurance. Johnny is just amazing! We called John, he answered immediately and after explaining what we needed done he gave us a fair quote right then and there on the phone, said he had a couple of other jobs he needed to finish but would be at our house in 2 days. He arrived on time on the day we had scheduled and he and his partner went right to work bringing up all the bags & boxes from the basement and loading them in to his truck (They worked so hard!). Since our original estimate of work was about half of what we thought it would be -- we asked him for a new estimate when he arrived and he gave us a new fair rate for the adds, and said no problem to the additional work load. On top of all that - he spent time with me and my daughter & son-in-law to try and figure out the problem (where the water was coming from). He was such a joy to work with, he is so pleasant & kind and just a nice guy! We are so happy to have found John - now I'm making a list of all the other jobs I need help with around the house. I would HIGHLY recommend Johnny On Call for any household job needs, gardening, painting and he even hangs Christmas lights! Do yourself a favor - call Johnny! PS -- the work Johnny did was in Port Huron - in case the Los Angeles address on my account is confusing. :)

This is a review of my experience hiring John as a property manager and a handy man. The intention…read moreof this review is to warn others about my negative experience working with John. As a note, I am an out of state investor who bought an investment property in Port Huron on September of 2022. On September 28th 2022, I had the city inspector inspect my property where more than 30 violations were found. The inspector then gave me until December 16th to resolve all the issues. On October 8th 2022, John spent time reviewing the "Notice of Violation" paperwork that I received from the inspector. He handwrote an itemized quote directly on that paperwork detailing the cost to resolve all the violations that I had received. The total cost of his quote was $5,020, which I paid up-front upon his request before he started the work. On December 2nd, I visited the property and found that many violations had not been resolved. On this day, I also noticed that John was storing some of his personal belongings in one of my rental units without obtaining my consent. At this point, I relieved him of his duties as my property manager and he acknowledged, in writing, that he still had an obligation as my handyman to finish his work on the violations. On December 16th (re-inspection day) the city inspector found that not all violations had been resolved. While the work that John did finish was completed sufficiently, there was still a total of $2,700 in unfinished work. I've requested a refund from John; however, that money has never been refunded to me. As a result of the incomplete work, I have incurred fines for the continued violations on my property. I have since sent letters to John with the official details of the itemized quote he provided me, the final notices from the inspector that cite unfinished violations, and a refund request for $2,700.

They left my place half done, took my money, kept requesting more money and never came back. Left a big mess they were using my tools had my garage a mess I'm missing tools now they were supposed to side my house garage paint my foundation and back deck after they put it back on I didn't even get the color siding I wanted and after paying them almost $20,000 they just never came back now I'm stuck with fixing it all. I can't even believe they call themselves a business all they are a scam. I still haven't seen them, but I will ...we all shop at the same stores‍ Here's how they left my electrical outside. No big deal. They also damaged my electrical running to my garage that I just paid over 5 grand to have installed and got mad when I wanted an electrician to come fix it. My flood lights still don't work. They tried charging me for their fake electrician to come take a look when they messed it up. Then acted like they did me a favor by eating the bill. There was no bill. The guy wasn't even a real electrician. Still realizing I'm missing more and more tools. I also let them have all my scrap which was a good amount. Last time I saw them I paid another 2 grand almost to be promised they'd be done December 12th. Never came back. You'd be better off grabbing the guy at the end of 94. You'll get better quality and integrity. There's a guy in the reviews saying how awesome they were well the reason they were is because they were giving you estimates and as soon as they would've got your money, you would've never heard from Lindsay again or maybe you would have and they would've came and tried to scam you out of some more like they did to me, sad part is they didn't really get down on me. They were getting down on my mother was 79 years old who was handling my business because I was always at work. It's too small of a town to be ripping people off that big, and still acting like you're a legitimate business.

This guy can do just about anything. He was super quick to come out to our home and was very efficient, fast and friendly. He did what needed to be done and nothing more.
