Patient with questions, funny, and overall really looking to help students learn. However, the slides/training material/quizes had lots of typos and mistakes, which distracted quite a bit from the course contents, but overall I did feel like I learned what I needed to. Additionally the way to pay was quite confusing - you pay the first $50 by credit card up-front, but the rest of the course you have to by by e-transfer after the in class portion. Felt a little shady/disorganized, but in the end worked out fine. These are the only reasons I didn't give 5 stars. My in car instructor was Amir, and he was fantastic. Friendly, encouraging, and had a great method of teaching where I felt really confident in all the skills by the end. Rather than focusing each class on a specific skill and repeating them over and over, we practiced all the skills every class, which worked really well for me. That way by the end I hadn't forgotten all the skills from the start. Also he picked me up right downtown and we practiced all over the downtown core. I really apprciated practicing in the busy downtown, as now I feel like I can drive anywhere. I started the first in class lesson on April 23, and finished everything including the G2 driving test by June 10 (I was already past the first year after getting my G1) and passed the first time at Toronto Metro East.

I had a very disappointing experience with AMB Driving School…read more We booked a G2 exit package that included lessons and a road test, and we clearly provided the test center location (37 Carl Hall Rd) from the beginning. At no point during booking or payment were we informed about any distance limit or additional travel charges. Just 2 days before the test, we were suddenly told that we had to pay extra because the location is "too far," referring to a 22 km limit that is nowhere clearly stated on their website or booking page. This lack of transparency and last-minute surprise fee is extremely unprofessional and stressful, especially when customers rely on these services for important tests. We even offered to meet the instructor closer to reduce the distance, but they refused to accommodate. Overall, very poor communication and hidden costs. I would not recommend this school unless they improve their transparency and customer service.

I work full time night shifts and I have a very busy schedule. Many times I try to schedule a set date and time with Vino, but all he can tell me is ex. "I'll call u on saturday around 3." Because he cannot give me a set time which is very inconsiderate.  2. When the saturday does come around I try my best to finish all my errands so when he does call me I am home, BUT he has either cancelled on me twice and very last minute, literally an hour before we were "scheduled."AND he is always 20-30 minutes late. 3. When the payment was fully made in class (and I can provide an invoice) I was promised a brand new honda but I would literally get picked up in Vino's old Mazda not a big deal but you cant pay for starbucks pricing and get mcdonalds. 4. When we did do the lessons Vino would sometimes call his gf and have a chat which is very unprofessional. 5. LASTLY, AND THE MOST IMPORTANT! We were done the lessons and I booked my g2 test  and told Vino the date and time as the in car lessons were finished and the course I paid for included the car for the test. Then he tells me, his car is broken and can no longer take me he didnt even offer to use another car or a refund on that part.  Honestly, this company is such a waste of money and for a person who makes an average income with bills etc 500$ is alot of money. I barely learned anything and I just went to a different school that got me my G2 the first time in vp and lawrence and will be doing my G with them. I'm not trying to ruin this company I'm sure Shane wouldve been better but  just stating my experience.

When I made mistakes, Shahid would yell at me and put me down. He would compare me to others, say I'm driving like a Chinese person and would also diminish your confidence by bringing up previous mistakes. 3) When he booked my road test, I told him to book it on a Tuesday or Wed. He then decided to book it on a Thursday morning when that was not what I requested. 4) Instead of letting me work on the things I need work on, Shahid would continuously do the same things over and over again. He would make me do 3 point turns multiple times when that's one of my strong suits. 5) When I told him I was going to write a review about him after I pass my road test, he said, "you better write a good one" this means that he probably gets individuals who are good at driving to write him good reviews. 6) They charge way too much money for no reason. 292$ for 5 lessons is insane. They charge tax on everything for no reason. 7) Shahid will sit on his phone and watch instagram reels, call people or just fall asleep instead of teaching you. Of course he would deny that because lucky for him, there is no cameras in the car. Overall, please do not go with Shahid. The Other guys are pretty good, but this guy does not care about you or your driving; he simply wants your money. Go drive with someone who will give you the confidence needed to strive on the road. Good luck everyone!

He really knows his stuff and he's a terrific instructor. I was apprehensive as I had already been treated very badly by another driving school near me. The way I was treated by Zak, however, was the exact opposite. I really look forward to our next lesson. I'm only taking in car refresher classes so I can't speak to the way the rest of the program is run at Today's Driver but if my hour and a half with Zak today is any indication, then this school is definitely worth checking out.

You have to go to them, usually at some far flung gas station. This means I had to spend lots of money on taxis to get to my lessons. The idea that this is a "covid precaution" is nonsense - instructors do not mask, and they do not clean the car between lessons. I see nothing about this set-up that adds to anyone's safety. How is a busy gas station better than the driveway of my house? - once you complete the online course, you *cannot access the course materials ever again*. For the money you pay, it's insane that you cannot access it forever. Especially with graduated licenses, it makes sense to let me review material to prep for my G test. - beware that the promised discount to your insurance premium through learning via YD *is not always the case*. Not all insurers do it.

Because it's a school, there is usually 3 people residing over your treatment (1 primary and 2 secondaries). You'll be asked a lot of questions about your health and any issues you have. They then leave for about 5 minutes deciding how to treat you. I teach yoga and if you can believe it, I get tight in my upper back (all those downward dogs), so sometimes I'll get a massage (Tuina, a chinese massage that is done over your clothes and feels amazing; cupping, which is a deep massage but if you love deep tissue massage, it's AWESOME!!! You will have marks on your backs though - they do fade; sometimes Shiatsu). They also do acupuncture (of course). They will also prescribe herbs if needed. The cost is $20 a session (the session is about 1.5 hours), but if you get a living green card, it's $15/session. Go...just go.

I highly recommend a visit, especially if you are struggling with some sort of issue and not sure what can be done about it. I think they can help or point you in the right direction.
