They do a Loyalty card wth no catches, very useful. I don't shop in her so much, unless I'm feeling flush as most things required are sold less expensively else where. I did get caustic soda here the other week, as the cottage suffers from bad drains, and gosh, it works wonders. Around Christmas I was preparing for a short hospital stay and, wanting my daughter to feel a bit special, came here to buy her a toiletry bag. I ended up getting myself one too but two days later they were both half price!!! Boots are handy for gifts - and some of their hair accessories are great. Especially so if you some money on the loyalty card. I have been known to see the queue for the check out and put everything down and leave, though.

Boots has an incredible Christmas gift selection with many 3 for 2 saving everyone that little extra cash in the holiday period. I would mention the boots advantage card like a clubcard you collect points when you purchase but it is better because you earn 4 points to the pound and each point is then worth a penny. Also in store there is an optician's, boots direct doctors, photograph developers and pharmacy so a lot of errands can be done in one hit. It is always best to shop around but make sure boots is always on the list. I do tend to avoid on Saturdays and late night shopping in the run up to Christmas as however much I like the shopqueuing for long periods starts to slowly melt my mind.

Most people think that Superdrug is in competition with Boots, but in fact they are co owned. Superdrug has a good selection of goods; cosmetics, toiletries, electrical, and first aid. They also carry a range of perfumes. With the Boots loyalty card I don't see a lot of point in making purchases here anymore.

Poole's Superdrug store is of a reasonable size and lies in the main high street. The in-store offers are always really appealing and at Christmas their range of gifts is impressive. Recently Superdrug's perfume area was moved and now unlike most perfume shops you are allowed to roam freely among the scents trying them as you please so none of the having to ask an assistant over and over again. The layout of the shop is easy to negotiate and understand but it can get busy at peak times like all shops in the town.

At the moment the range of gifts for Christmas is great with fantastic prices and some of the gifts are really novel. I find the stock to be very limited in this store and will always go to the larger one at the other end of town if I need something. The staff are aways very friendly in this store and will help if you need anything, but because its so small you wont find everything you need unless you literally are popping in for one or two items.

Although this is a small branch of boots it still boasts all the necessary items from medicines to shampoos to nappies and photo equipment. There is a car park adjacent although it is a pay and display but sometimes you can park in the road free. The store is well manned with friendly helpful staff. I would recommend this store if you need to pop in and get your everyday toiletries. For more choice you would need to visit a larger branch.
