Stores in the Dolphin centre include big names such as Boots, New Look, Top Shop, and Beales. The variety is quite vast and caters for all needs. There are plenty of shops that are set on two levels with plenty of parking in pay and display multi story car parks. The Bus station and train station are joined onto the Dolphin centre so access by public transport is just as easy. The Dolphin centre boasts many coffee shops and food outlets allowing everyone to take the weight off and enjoy a little bit of a break. The Dolphin Centre is always clean and tidy but it can get busy especially on Saturdays and sale times. For a days shopping why not try Poole.

This shop is wondrous!…read more It sells all colours of gem stone, some polished, some not. Some are fossilised. The stones are incredibly beautiful - I guess one displays them. There are also a number of bracelets and necklaces made from these stones. I'm not taking my daughter in there! My friend and I love looking around but aren't quite sure what we'd do with anything we bought! Well worth a snoop though, because of the sheer beauty of everything. He does engraving too.

It is crushed velvet, in Indigo blue with tiny cream stars on it. It's sleeveless with a handkerchief hem. At £12.50, and two years too big, I reckoned I could splash out. She looks like a fairy tale in it. I love Monsoon's accessories, especially hairslides for my daughter. Again, I wait for the sales.

The gift & baby range is gorgeous - great quality and I can always find something that little bit unusual and special. Just looking at the brilliant window displays is inspriation enough! All the staff are so friendly and helpful - I love a bit of good old fashioned service! I have even had a Home Party which was great fun. They also do Private Shopping - a party in store in the evening for just you and your friends - I have booked one for later on in the year to avoid the xmas crowds!! - (now thats what i call shopping!) A couple of weeks later we saw them again, annd my ten year old gave me a very stern lecture about treating myself now and then so after an hour or so of this ear bashing, I gave in and we went in to see. The staff were friendly in a quiet sort of way, and got the earrings, I admired them all over again and said I'd take them. A lovely box was produced, which greatly pleased daughter, and we we went, both happy. This jeweller seems to be fairly select, but reasonably priced. A range of the usual stock, but not vast. Worth a look because the prices are good.

There are not only candles but accessories for candles, or 'houses' for them. i.e you sit the candle (already in a jar) on a saucer like dish, and place the roof on. These are made from crackled glass, in all kinds of colour schemes. It is truly beautiful, all of it. All sorts of sizes too, but I like the small one because you can have more than one in a room. Some of the scents may not be your taste, but you will adore most of them. In addition, the shop sells cushions, mobiles, signs, and other novelty items. I'd recommend you leave a young child elsewhere - it's less scary that way.

As many people will know New Look is a women's clothes store. The store itself is set out nicely with going out and smart sections down to casual everyday tops etc. all at fair prices. At the back of the store are the fitting rooms. Unlike some stores in the vicinity there are plenty of them and are manned by staff at all times. Beside the fitting rooms are the shoes and accessories. This is where this branch holds its own there is a great selection and I have found their shoes to be comfortable and reasonably priced. I have never had any problems with the staff in all my years of shopping there I have always found them happy to help. I would say that at busy times such as Saturdays and late night Christmas shopping it does get busy and there does tend to be queues so be warned. But over all this is a clean and tidy shop with great prices and a nice range of clothing.

A sister shop to Monsoon…read more Handbags, scarves, beach bags, jewelry, purses, hats, gloves etc. Anything that is an accessory. Like Monsoon they are pricey, unnecessarily so. I wander about and look and admire, and then find the similar item in another shop for much less. I find their earings a bit over the top for me - I'm more dainty and classic jewelry - but is all fun stuff. My daughter loves it of course. Fun to spot something you like and then to find it's twin elsewhere and save loas of money. Some pieces are really lovely and indigenous to the brand. If your birthday is coming up, maybe ask for a gift card
