My fave workout to date. Been going for about a year and do other things also but rowhouse keeps me centered. Love how you get your results on the app and all the coaches are great!!!

I love everything about Row house! Easy convenient location. Never have an issue with parking. Someone behind the counter is always smile. Coaches are knowledgeable and motivating. It is such a mixed crowd of adults it is just a wonderful atmosphere. Row house is where I got my mojo back! The work out on the erg machine is easy and low impact on my joins the intensity and length is perfect. I have seen amazing results! Highly recommend to anyone even slightly interested.

Cheering on my fellow crew as she crushed a major milestone!

Staff are all generally all helpful. Front door staff try to be quick. The service desk can be quick, but lines do occur since there is generally only one or two people working it. The KidZone staff are the true gems of the Y. My daughter loved all the caring folks who watched her daily for a couple of hours while we worked out. I cannot tell you how great they are. I never used the training staff, but they were helpful when needed. The one staff member that completely sucks is the skinnier old guy with the grey beard. That guy has the ick and tried to shoo me away from equipment when I was working out on it just because he wanted it. I politely let him know the equipment would be available when I finished. The Y activities for our daughter were really great. During our time at the Y we participated in an Easter Event, Daddy Daughter Dance, Wellness Days, Christmas events, and more. This really helped us feel part of the community and I made some great adult friends. The programming staff are stars at their job. The indoor pool is amazing. My daughter went from zero swimming skills to being completely able to swim alone at 3.5 years of age. The program pool is heated and made teaching our daughter how to swim a great experience. Parking can be difficult at the Y if you come in the afternoon. Saturday mornings were also another time you would want to avoid the parking situation. It would be great if they paved the other lot and added lines. It was the Wild West down there. Additionally, folks will dent your car and not care or leave a note. Parking here with a nice car is a big issue especially if you want to avoid dozens of small dents and chips. The actual weight lifting area is perfectly fine. If you are someone that likes classic weight lifting gyms, this really isn't the place to join. You can get a great workout in, but I found folks lacked gym etiquette knowledge. Same for the running track upstairs where there are running directions for each day. The amount of folks that cannot read directions is a bit appalling. Additional areas that are great are the full sized basketball court with 6 hoops and the playground outside. I found time to play basketball every week. The one downside is no basketball league for adults and unequal time given to basketball compared to other sports. I would have loved a volleyball drop in too. Considering how popular volleyball is in the area, it would have made sense to add. Overall, the Y is amazing. There are many great staff members and many great members that made coming here a wonderful experience.

I've never boxed before, they take it slow and work with you. The trainer is great; he has loads of energy and keeps you moving. Definitely headed back. Completely humbled by the hour long session here. Made me realize I'm not in as good as shape as I thought I was. The yard is completely unassuming, grungy, hot and humid, beat up, ghetto, old school, and hidden off the side of the road in an old warehouse in springfield. Perfect. Monday through Thursday from 6pm - 7pm and Saturday from 9am - 10am you get an hour long intense cardio workout with a mixture of different exercises that Hector will break you down with. Want to take a break or rest a little without being told to? Be ready because Hector will get on your ass immediately and get you going again! These hour long sessions are a group fitness class that combines fundamental boxing techniques with calisthenic (bodyweight resistance) exercises to improve stamina, power, and tone. Expect a full-body workout through various boot-camp-style drills, shadowboxing, jumping rope, footwork, punching heavy bags, and abdominal exercises. Memberships consists of $10 drop-in, $99 monthly, or $299 for personal training. It's a blast and I can't wait to train here more often. Lots of good people here in a friendly competitive environment where everyone wants to push themselves to the max. Don't worry if you've never boxed before. Things to know and bring: Get a set of decent boxing gloves (I paid 40 bucks for mine and they work just fine - 16oz Title Classic gloves - I'm 5'10" 180lbs), hand wraps (not required but can help with the bags after repeated hitting), bring lots of water, bring a towel, yoga matt if you have one for the ab session at the end, good workout shoes, light workout clothes, come motivated, geared up to sweat, and ready to work your ass off.

Convenient for people who work downtown and want to take in a quick class for lunch break, or just workout before or after work. Parking is easy enough on the street if you go before 8 a.m. or after 6 p.m. but during business hours parking will be challenge. This Y has limited hours too, being open Monday through Friday only. The equipment is also limited but they have a little of everything you would want to use. For me personally I would prefer more cardio machines with personal televisions. The treadmills have them, but on the direct tv system they are difficult to navigate channels. The pros here is that it never gets too crowded, they give you a key for a locker and have free towel service. The locker rooms have been upgraded also, so they are pretty nice. The cons are getting to and from this Y means waiting for an extremely slow elevator and the strong musty smell that makes it feel like it is hard to breath down there. Overall it is okay if you are supplementing your visits to other Ys but I would not replace my gym with only this branch.
