I found the food here to be completely bland. I had a chicken and avacado sandwich on wholemeal bread: the chicken didnt really taste of anything and the avacado was very little and was doused in far too much lemon. I highly suspect that the bread was of a homebrand variety... My toddlers also had a sandwich (cheese and avacado) which tasted rather similar. They also had a babycino which was probably about as good as any other babycino anywhere else (I dont know, I didnt have it - they can do a yelp review about it if they really want to). My hot chocolate was good enough but not good enough to write home about and my companion had a tuna pie and a coffee of some sort. She payed for the meal and I asked her how much she spent. Apparently all this tasteless food and drink cost $26!
Now to be fair, my toddlers were behaving worse than Ive seen them behave in over a year, so I can understand if the bakery deliberately gave us mediocre food so that we would never go back (and they would never have to put up with the Lord Muck Of The Duckyard twins ever again) but I somehow doubt that... Food usually tastes better when somebody else pays for it, but today this wasnt the case. I cant see myself going back any time soon...
Oh, one more thing, the staff were very nice but at one point I had trouble actually finding one! I think they had probably just got to the end of a long day and long week. Maybe Im being too harsh but I was pretty unimpressed by the food here... read more
