This is their first review! I'm quite astonished given that this is the darker side to the people that bring you Sardi. By darker, I do not mean metaphorically, I mean literally, dark!
I've been on the search for a breakfast board since Chez Dre abruptly concluded their provision of what was my favourite breakfast in Melbourne. So, this be what I ordered. It's a fine deal this is, with a few separate dishes and coffee for a mere $17.50.
The board has crunchy granola, a little milk bottle, corn fritter with smashed av, a poached egg and red pepper salsa AND the best, a warm crumpet with poached peach and a curd that may have been grapefruit. Best yet, all these items are on the main menu, you just get miniature versions.
All in all it was solid. I could pick little faults like the fritter was a bit gluey and the granola too sweet for me. But the crumpet is my new best friend. You can order that on its own which is what I 100% will do next time. So use the board to establish you favourite and then go forth.
Coffee is decent too. Go, it's worth a look (take a torch). read more
