There was an option that stated to cancel call store directly. I called immediately after the order went through but was left on hold. I called a total of 4 times that night, around 40 minutes of pure torture listening to that awful Ai Crumbl song. The next morning I attempted to call again, and once again no one answered the phone, pretty ridiculous. I was never available to pick up the order and since no one ever bothered to pick up the phone I had to dispute the charge with my bank. TERRIBLE experience.

He went…read morestraight for the Minecraft Grass Block Cake -- a square cinnamon vanilla cake coated in chocolate crumb streusel with a cinnamon brown sugar topping, layered with brown cream cheese frosting, finished with grass-textured frosting and a little (non-edible) Minecraft topper on top. It's a cute, well-executed treat, and the theme is spot-on for any kid who's into the game. For me, it was just okay. The flavors lean sweet and I think this one is built more for kids' palates than adults' -- but that's really the point, isn't it? My son loved every single bite and couldn't stop talking about it, so on that front it was a total win. The one thing that gave me pause was the price: $6.50 for a single cake felt a bit steep. If you've got a Minecraft fan at home, though, the joy on their face might just be worth it. 3.5 stars from me -- a fun novelty that kids will adore, even if grown-up taste buds are more take-it-or-leave-it.

I've tried other Crumbl locations and this is on par with what I've experienced in the past…read more They're typically small up front and relatively spacious in the back where they do the actual baking and prep - this was no different. So if you want to eat there, it's standing up or outside the store. And that's fine. This time, we came to try their dirty sodas and they are surprisingly not over the top sweet and total sugar bombs. You can get a lot of different choices of base soda, including diet, and mine was root beer based. Lots of flavor combinations. For the promotion (free small dirty soda), there were fewer choices, but enough to get something we both liked. The person at the counter was very helpful in helping us take advantage of the promotion and preparing our drinks quickly and with care. The recipes are right on the sticker that goes on the cup, so easy for them to prepare it and for you to see what goes in it. So good location, good staff, nice new product offering.

Since I still had the canele crave, I found Nousa's via Yelp and ordered online. OH MY CANELE goodness! These are amazing and everything that I had hoped and expected from a proper canele...crunchy exterior (almost a thin golden shell) from the caramelized sugar, soft, creamy and custardy interior with a nice vanilla flavor! A 'bit burnt' done properly unlike the other place I went to (see the side-by-side pic). Amazingly addictive! Bought some ORIGINAL BAKLAVA ROLLS for others but I sneaked a bite and those were wonderful as well! Crunchy, bite-sized, buttery, flaky sugary layers but not overly sweet with fresh pistachios! Heck, why not get some Nana's BUTTER COOKIES while we're at it...melt in your mouth, buttery deliciousness with a light coating of powdered sugar ! It's funny I keep saying I'm not into sweets but for those who don't like overly sweet desserts these are it...lightly sweet and more about varying textures and flavors which I love. WHAT I ORDERED: My box came with 4 cupcakes and 2 cookies: 2 of the "Churro o O it's Magic" cupcakes -- this cupcake was my favorite and OUT OF THIS WORLD! The cinnamon sugar cupcake was hearty and soft, the frosting was buttery perfection and the freshly fried heart-shaped churro on top brought a nice, crunchy texture to each bite. 2 of the "Duvalín" cupcakes -- Goodness gracious. This cupcake was full of fresh, bright flavors perfect for a warm summer day. The strawberry had a refreshing, real fruit flavor and paired perfectly with the hazlenut. 2 of the Puerquito Pan Dulces cookies -- the perfect mexican cookie. Admittedly, I didn't grow up on mexican cookies... as a child I never thought they were sweet enough (SUCH A KID), but as an adult... PERFECT! They were soft, had a mild (and scrumptious) flavor of cinnamon and molasses, and had a perfect level of sweetness. Unfortunately I had no coffee prepared and ATE THEM ALL before I had a chance to make any but they would have paired with it PERFECTLY. Can't wait to order another box in the future.

I also saw on our local news that this store had been broken into and robbed. That was very upsetting to hear about. That made me want to visit and support this local business even more. I was warmly welcomed and one of the two owners, Kristin, came to help me. They have a nice website where you can shop and pre-order your items before picking them up in the store. Kristin was so kind and showed me all the wonderful pastries that they had available including their freshly made chocolate chip cookies that are loaded with chocolate chips throughout and on top of the cookie. It was delicious. I bought some wiskey cakes and a rum cake as well as some savory items like their sausage rolls and hobbit pie. They have a freezer stocked with savory pies and goodies for purchase. The selection of tea pots and tea cups is beautiful. They also sell a variety of loose teas. I purchased the decaf cream earl grey. Before I left I mentioned to Kristen that I saw they were having a Lord of the Rings afternoon tea on Saturday, September 19. They were sold out online and I told her I would try for next year. But, she still had a few seats available, to my surprise. I bought two tickets for my husband and myself. They offered meat and vegetarian options or if you purchase the deluxe version, you get both. Today, Saturday September 19, was the Lord of the Rings afternoon tea, and it did not disappoint. Kristin and her husband Dean, who was dressed as Bilbo Baggins, did an outstanding job with this tea. There were different courses for the event, with a lovely printed out menu for each person. The tables were adorned with a fall motif with a beautiful place setting and tea cup. There was live music and singing. These musicians/singers were so talented and made us all feel like we were part of the Shire. The harpist was a nice touch. There was a wizard named Murdoch, who did fun magical tricks for each table. He looked like Gandalf to me, so I kept calling him Gandalf lol. The food was all made on site and it was delicious. Both of us had the Wizards brew tea and it tasted like fall. The Hobbiton seed and current scones were scrumptious with clotted cream and peach preserves. The Rohan stout and barley soup was hearty and delicious. We also enjoyed the Gondor sausage rolls and Dwarven beer glazed onion and bacon on Guinness beer bread. The Buckleberry Crumble with whipped cream was a perfect ending to our meal. And before we left we were each given a Lembas bread for our journey home. An overall amazing experience. I definitely look forward to next year's tea.
