Creamy, smooth, nice texture. Breadcrumbs were delicious. Stracciatella w/ Bottarga (8.5/10): Very unique dish. I loved the bottarga-flavored radish. Added a nice splash of seafood taste into the salad. The stracciatella was amazing. White Asparagus (8.5/10): Very well-executed. Asparagus was tender. The greens on top were nicely charred. Sauce was tasty. Buckwheat Cake (8/10): Excellent cake. Simple, but decadent. Not too sweet either Though this is the top-ranked restaurant in Montreal, I still have to say Beba is my favorite. Although Mon Lapin is good, the service and taste both fall short of Beba's.

I will crave those!! The only critique I have is the duck was a little chewy and could have been a little more crispy/fried. But aside from that everything was amazing and fresh. Also, the wine selection was great. The staff were informative and nice. They timed out all the course perfectly. I told my husband I'd literally fly to out here for 24 hours just to make dinner reservations here and leave the next day. It's expensive but it's very well worth it. Also, the size of the restaurant looks small, but it is very spacious. You don't feel crowded.

It was hard for me to get excited from the start. Let's hear my experience; Parking: Ample parking. But cannot understand why out of the 3 spots right up front of the restaurant, they save 1 for handicapped and the other 2 for EV charging, when majority of the crowd that came there were elderly? I thought that was already odd. Brick and mortar: Beautiful building. Paint, doors and glass windows were so attractive.. Their tables and chairs on the other hand -- tables sticky, wobbly.. and their chairs, I have never been to a nice establishment with such neglected chairs. All the front edge of the chairs material (leather/PU leather) were peeling. As I said earlier, don't they want their customers to feel content instead of trying to get the chair's peels stuck in their pants after dinner? And then... Host: I kid you not.. the most non-common sense and laziest host I've ever met! We have a party of 6, one happened to be in an electric wheelchair. She took our group to the furthest and tightest table. Which was fine.. but did not lift a finger to make way for my uncle, who was driving his own wheelchair himself, by the way .. I caught her watching my uncle struggling driving in between the chairs. I was behind him and had to go another way to be in front of him to "make way"! When we got to the table, she turned her body around, had me behind her and watched my uncle trying to move the chair away so he can park his wheelchair in! I had to raised my voice at her to move away so I can help my uncle! Absurd! Food: Not good! All meats were dry and unpleasant. They tried to masked my burnt ribs with so much BBQ sauce. Server: Marie Claude. She's the angel and the knight and shining armor of this place. Super sweet, attentive and she dressed everything else amazingly for us such as drinks, dinnerwares and our coffees. Both of my stars are for her existence in this establishment alone.

Saw the add of Facebook and decided to go try it out as there are not a lot of good options in the South Shore. Very extensive wine list with pricing from low $60s to $$$ so you can choose according to your budget. The menu is also pretty light but with a good selection. We were 2 people and went with an entree of scallop and Crudo. Main we shared the lobster cavatellis. Oh boy the food came to the table and fabulous presentation. The taste was also amazing...especially the crudo dish...that sauce was to die for. The lobster cavatellis was also amazing...the pasta was still a bit al dente just as it should be and the sauce was so yummy...we almost licked the plate clean! Desserts were also pretty good. I preferred the strawberry one over the panacota. Did I also mention the decor was modern and classy? It's definitely a place you can bring a date or customers for business lunch or dinner. The crowd was a bit older which is normal because the ambiance is more quiet and pricing is higher than a normal bar. Would a 100% go back there very soon to try more of their wine and food.

We walked in on Friday night and were greeted by the owner. He's a very attentive host and went above and beyond explaining each dish and how fresh they were. We ended up ordering the beef tartare with seared scallops and steak. It was to die for. The steak was accompanied by their homemade sauce. The owner paired both of our dishes with the perfect wine, it was his suggestion by the way. We topped everything off with two massive cheesecakes for desert. We both left this place satisfied! We will definitely come back again, especially in the summer where you can sit close to the docks and watch the boats sail by!

Overall: A // 5 stars…read more Cozy restaurant with a kitchenside bar, focusing on farm to table small plates centered around clever usage of vegetables to make stunning dishes. I found the cuisine to be vibrant and healthful, with bright and energizing flavors that were well executed overall. The staff are knowledgable about the menu and dish conception, and generally pleasant and friendly to converse with. (Jacqual: B) - Simply presented drink that features hibiscus and citrus with zero proof beer, which I found fascinating. The beer notes are in the background prevailed by the sourness of the other components, where I wish there was a little more added sweetness. (Fried Maitake: A) - Perfectly seasoned dish with tender and high surface area mushrooms coated in an impressly crisp batter given the moisture usually found in mushrooms. The seasoning could not be better with the salt and spice combo; the chive and parsley mayo also add an herbaceous depth of flavor. (Heirloom Tomatoes: A) - Pefectly plated tomatoes with a surprising sunflower seed forward profile given the subtleness of the ingredient; the dish is well balanced and brings out the harmonious flavors of the garden, although I think the bites with flake salt had that even more perfect note. (Hanger Steak: A+) - Beautifully perfected cut of beef with Asian inspiration; the steak is juicily pink with a charred exterior; the carrot ginger puree has a lovely mild and lingering spice, with some additional spice coming from the shishito and the pickled jalapeno. Beautiful dish. (Peach Sorbet: C) - Flavorally pleasant dessert with peach three ways and a nut crumble to add crunch; the sorbet was very hard though and could have benefitted from spirits in the churning process. We got situated in the bottom floor area where there was a Dj and other patrons enjoying their drinks and food. We only came here for drinks, so I got my server to surprise me with a mock tail since I was pregnant, and we got some fries on the side to munch on. Menu for food wasn't extensive, more for snacking than dining imo. Server came back with fries and our drinks. My drink was surprisingly good, I had to make sure there was no alcohol, since I could taste somewhat of gin in there, but there wasn't! The fries were hot and fresh, so good! The other 4 ladies had no problem devouring their alcohol infused drinks, plus a couple of shots and off to another bar we go!
