They've easily got the best Laksa out of any Thai restaurant I've dined at so far (on or off the Coast). And while most of their other dishes don't reach the same pillar of excellence as their Laksa, they are still all quite good. I've yet to have a bad meal at Melinda's, nor has anyone I've taken here ever been unhappy with their meal. Prices are maybe a little higher than I'd like, but considering the overall quality (and also quantity; portions tend to be satisfyingly large here) I'm happy to let this point slide. The dine-in service can be a little lackluster, particularly for larger parties or during very busy times. Be prepared to wait a little while for your food to come out, and don't be surprised if it doesn't arrive all at once. But once it does you can be confident that you're in for a good meal, at least.

The food came out pretty promptly, but like restaurants like this, the food may come out at different times at your table. The drinks were made from scratch and were refreshing and scrumptious! I loved the Lychee twist and Lemon Lime and Bitters. Service was friendly and attentive, making this restaurant a good alternative to Sunnybank where service is an afterthought (and often feels like taking a trip to Timbuktu). This restaurant is a great addition to the Northside culinary scene and I expect this eatery to become more popular as time goes by.

I have traveled China for years on business many regions, also the international district in Seattle as well as China town in NY. They are fairly new business just off the esplanade try the sample platter for $12 or 2 platters for $20 you'll love it. The owner bunny and her husband are great they will help you select your meal
