The Doctors surgery in Rothwell has recently relocated to these premises, now on the out skirts of town (still within walking distance of anywhere in Rothwell). The surgery itself, despite looking dreadful from the outside, is very nice. It is large and spacious, bright and modern looking. There is a huge staircase in the centre which is a bit of toddler magnet, but other than that it can't really be faulted. There is plenty of parking, which was a problem at the old surgery.
This practice has seperate facilities for the Health Visitor. A real bonus as she now has her own waiting area - ideal if you have kids. There is a pharmacy adjacent to the surgery, who are surprisingly quick.
The doctors themselves are very good - with the exception of one (who I refuse to see), as are the nurses. The support staff are excellent also - they are really helpful and don't have an attitude which is typical of most surgeries.
You can usually get an appointment on the day you call, and you are always invited to come and wait if necessary. read more
