I have marked them down only because they close at 4.30 and do not open on Saturday mornings so it can be difficult to get an appointment.

I've been going here for about 3 years. Sometimes difficult to get an appointment with the…read morehygienist as they're so busy and I'm not keen on their appointment system in general. I have been and they were running so late that they've cancelled my appointment and I've had to go back but not told this until waited 20 min. That all said the actual dentistry is excellent and Raj has sorted out any problems quickly and without pain. Explaining what he was doing all through the process. So I definitely recommend the workmanship and dentistry but not the appointment system.

With a family with one dental phobic, one needle phobic and three children, it has been so hard to find a practice we can all feel comfortable in, but in Shams Moopen, we have at last acheived the impossible. Access to the ground floor is good, with wheelchair/buggy ramp to the rear of the building, and parking is not too bad considering the mostly residential area. They are one of the few practices to still be accepting people to the full NHS list, and the NHS dentist is great - you often find you get the trainee/not-so-good practioner doing the NHS work in many practices, but not here.

All in all, not what you'd expect from a visit to the dentist!
This dentist is run on a private practice plan so you pay so much every month or year depending on…read morewhat plan you choose. For example, I pay £8 a month and this means that all my check ups, cleaning and x rays are free and I only pay for other treatment which is at a discounted rate. The staff are really friendly and really seem to enjoy working there, the waiting room is really relaxing and comfortable and not really like a dentist waiting room at all and my dental surgeon is really nice although I have seen other dentists when she has not been available and they have been really nice too. The surgeries are really modern and high tech and you really feel like you are getting the best treatment and you are looked after. I have had a lot of trouble with my teeth over the last few years but they have been sorted out here and I don't mind going to the dentist here.
The Doctors surgery in Rothwell has recently relocated to these premises, now on the out skirts of…read moretown (still within walking distance of anywhere in Rothwell). The surgery itself, despite looking dreadful from the outside, is very nice. It is large and spacious, bright and modern looking. There is a huge staircase in the centre which is a bit of toddler magnet, but other than that it can't really be faulted. There is plenty of parking, which was a problem at the old surgery. This practice has seperate facilities for the Health Visitor. A real bonus as she now has her own waiting area - ideal if you have kids. There is a pharmacy adjacent to the surgery, who are surprisingly quick. The doctors themselves are very good - with the exception of one (who I refuse to see), as are the nurses. The support staff are excellent also - they are really helpful and don't have an attitude which is typical of most surgeries. You can usually get an appointment on the day you call, and you are always invited to come and wait if necessary.

Roger is a brilliant dentist and I would highly recommend him to anyone.
