It was a total waste of time. She spent 2 minutes with me at every appointment. 1 1/2 mins were spent with her doing paperwork. She aimed 30 seconds forcing my knee back and then left me to do exercises by myself. After 6 weeks with no improvement I switched to Sue on Princeton Ave. she is fabulous. However, I wasted 6 valuable weeks and hundreds of dollars with Jennifer. I've since learned it's common knowledge at Princeton Orthopedics that one should not see Jennifer for total joint replacements. It would have been nice if someone had given me that tip.

First of all it's nearly impossible to find a doctor that advocates for the patient and really understands the depth of pain and frustration that comes with an injury. I have been in pain for nearly 4 years and after countless visits to other doctors I was truly starting to feel doomed. "It's your lumbar spine " was the only clear diagnosis I had ever received. These doctors looked past the obvious and were able to systematically troubleshoot the pain through simple trial and error. In both cases, Matt got my son competition-ready sooner than expected. After a thorough analysis of my son's gait, he has suggested a series of exercises that deal not only with the short-term pain and also address mechanics for long-term injury prevention. In addition, Matt has gone out of his way to respond to any/all questions via email, always offering thoughtful advice in between appointments that give us all peace of mind. I went in for PT for a specific problem, yet was given exercises for other problems and NOT for the problem for which I went to Ivy. I was clear that I was only there to address the one problem for which I had a referral from my doctor and did not want to address the other problems at Ivy, as I was dealing with them with another PT that I see. I asked about treatment for my one problem repeatedly, but it was not addressed. It felt very much like a private equity owned enterprise (I later learned that it is owned by private equity), as they focused on putting in a billing code that my insurance would pay for rather than treating my actual problem. They encouraged me to come 3x/week, even though my problem is not acute and I had exercises to do at home, so once/week should have sufficed and been a better use of my prescription. Also, I actually read their privacy policy - which I had to agree to in order to have my visit - and it literally gives permission for them to share my personal information with companies that are looking for organ and tissue donors! What does this have to do with PT? Is it just another way to monetize me? I asked to have it printed out so that I could cross out that item before agreeing, but this was not possible. If you have a problem that has a billing code and you don't mind that they are probably monetizing your personal information in macabre ways, you will be in good hands with Connie.
