I recently had movers come in and pack up my house for a cross country move. To my horror, I discovered that they inadvertently packed up the power cord for my CPAP machine. After thinking that I could easily pick up another cord from a local outlet, I took off on the road. By the end of the third night without my CPAP, I was exhausted and desperate! I finally thought to call Rotech. They have always delivered my supplies on time and been very courteous as well. They were able to locate a local Rotech office in Leesberg, MO who had the cord!!! Be very careful with this company. I was diagnosed with OSA in 2020/2021 timeframe. I cut the company a bit of slack for years due to all the issues related to the covid but it seems to keep getting worse over the past few years - They have NOT improved their business model. They would NOT let me buy the CPAP machine out right; it had to be through the "rent to own" sketchy deal that they use. Then they told me that if I did not use it EVERY night, they could legally re-possess the device. I work 24 h shifts; some nights I don't get the privilege to sleep for a nice 7-8 hour timeframe. I called my insurance company regarding this and was told by the insurance company that I did NOT need to use it EVERY night under threat of repossession. But the "customer service" representative at Rotech told me that both I and BCBS was wrong. Their billing services has rather sketchy practices; I was billed in Feb 2026 for the supplies that was delivered. I paid that in full and printed the receipt. But then BILLED AGAIN this month. When I called to clarify, it seemed to be with someone who didn't speak English as a primary language. As she tried to transfer me, she disconnected the call. If I could put minus stars on rating I would! This is the worst company I've ever experienced. My first run in with them was over my Dad's CPAP supplies. They said that he gave them permission to ship. This went on for about 2 months until I had enough and told them to close the account. Even after that, they continued to call him try to get him to approve a shipment! I didn't realize that I had anything from this company until I noticed their name in a list of claims I was looking through on my insurance provider's website. I had a wheelchair dropped off at my home in February while I was still in rehab. They left NO paper work or business card so I just assumed the health system that I was using had sent it. When I noticed that they were still billing my insurance company for 2 months after I stopped using the chair, I called them to see what was going on. Of course their Customer Service is handled by an off-shore vendor which makes it difficult to get them to understand what you are saying and to take it seriously. "Dan" told me, after hearing my complaint, that he would put in a pickup order and notate my account about the fact that there was no paperwork or instructions left when the wheelchair was delivered. HOW IS THAT GOOD BUSINESS? Why are they not calling at least once during the time that someone has a piece of their equipment just to see if the patient is doing ok or needs anything?? I'll tell you why, because they will continue to bill your insurance company until they won't pay any longer and then they will charge you! ROTECH is HORRIBLE. Do NOT use this company! I lost my cpap machine in a house fire. The local company gladly gave me a loaner. Within 1 business day their legal department sent me a letter threatening to take me to collections for a machine my insurance had paid off 16 months earlier. A year later I'm still waiting for something in writing from them saying I do not owe that money. They are charging insurance and me more than quoted on a new machine. Customer service is a joke. I would not give even 1 star if it were an option. read more

DON'T USE ROTECH! I stopped using my rotech machine Thanksgiving week 2021. I tried to return the machine because it was recalled. They wouldn't take it back. In January of 2022 I recieved a statement for services, but it doesn't say what services. I talked to the rep in accounting she said it was for supplies in June/July, I was sure my huband paid the the bill last summer. I decided that it was worth $7.00 just to be done with them. Not so, February 14 2022 I get another bill for the same supplies. They sent an email statement saying I am paid in full. If another statement arrives I think I will be contacting legal services. read more

I would prefer to give this company a big, fat 0! These people are so difficult. I have to go here to get my biPap device serviced and it is a nightmare every time. They are impossible to contact. Phone calls are not returned. Staff either does not listen or comes across as combative. Billing is outrageous. Are they trying to run some kind of insurance scam and then bully disabled people into paying even more? Someone smarter than myself is going to have to figure that one out. Horrible. Nightmare. i have been a customer for years with rotech but of recent their service has turned to "crap"!!! i called last tuesday to get a delivery and was informed they only deliver in my area on tuesday, so the order was entered for six portable tanks so i could go to doctor appointments. that they wold deliver them on tuseday, today (2-22-2022) at 4:00pm i called rotech and asked when they were going to deliver the. i got a gal in their call center that said there was not a written ticket but the drivers are out delivering until 10:00pm--but maybe a "hand written" ticket was with a driver. guess what, it is 9:48pm and no delivery. i can see why two of the reviews of five are negative. i am not the only one desiring they do what they promise!!!!! read more

I have been waiting over 6 weeks for supplies for my CPAP machine. The Lee's Summit Office says they have submitted everything, and I can place my order with Sleep Central. Sleep Central says they don't have my prescription. Or I didn't call them back with information they required. Or they are waiting on .... something. I call my doctor, they say Rotech has everything. I call Rotech, and if I get a response, it's that I should have my supplies. I call Sleepcair Central, and I am still in a holding pattern. Maybe the fax number is wrong. My doctor's office is a no fax office. When you listen to their phone call waiting, they say I can count on them to be there for me, and that is a lie. I cannot express enough my dissatisfaction in this company, their ability to solve problems, or their ability to ensure that you have the supplies that you need. What a joke. read more

avoid these guys like the plague. they're still billing me for supplies that I paid for months ago, even though I've sent them copies of the deposited checks w/ their endorsement on them. every time we talk to someone there, they promise to get to the bottom of it and call us right back. we never hear from any of them until a month or two later when they're calling to collect again. I was in the hospital and found out that I needed a home oxygen concentrator before I could be released. Rotech had a portable tank in my hospital room within an hour and delivered the concentrator and an extra tank within an hour of my returning home. The delivery driver (Unfortunately, I can not recall his name) was very nice and patient with me. He answered all my questions and made sure the unit was set up and working before he left. If I could give a negative, I would. this company has a horrendous reputation, and I am finding out why. They have neglected to send a simple form to my insurance company, that was supposed to be done before we even came to pick-up my medical supplies. fast forward a few months, they still have yet to do it and we are now getting calls from their billing department wanting money, and our insurance company wanting money. every time we get a call from them, we inform them they just need to send in the pre-authorization form to the insurance company and everything will be paid. we have started to keep notes of how many times we've called them only to get the run-around. the insurance company has sent them 2 request for pre-authorization and still haven't received it. we get messages left at 4:58pm, only to try and call back immediately and they don't answer, it goes to their "after hours" number to leave a message, which they don't return. we have also asked to be sent to their insurance people, which they say they don't know their number... needless to say, we continue to get the runaround. we have called and told them to stop sending CPAP supplies, and a week later we got a full box of supplies we didn't order/need. they work in conjunction with "home care medical". we have called RoTech's billing department, and also been given the Corporate # in Florida that supposedly deals with these rogue local offices. but, guess what? they don't answer their damn phone either and don't call you back!! if you can, plead with your doctors to use any other medical supply company that your insurance will accept. there are tons of horror stories regarding this company on the internet, you just have to do a quick search. THIS. COMPANY. SUCKS. *HA, additional tips question #1 "Accepts Insurance"? who the hell knows, they don't do the work TO ACCEPT insurance... if they sent in the pre-authorization form, they would get paid. read more

This is the worst medical supply company around. During our first visit, the man (who clearly wasn't listening to anything I said--I showed him a letter from the insurance company saying they would cover a new CPAP machine even though it had only been a year since the last one--less than five minutes later he was say8ing we couldn't get the new machine because insurance wouldn't cover it. This happened a couple times.) was not only not listening, he insulted us as we left! He said, "Not everyone understands what we do here." I'm a nurse (and not an idiot) and understand exactly what they do there. He doesn't. Trying to get any answers is nearly impossible. I've been trying to find out when an order is going to be in for almost a month. The first time I called, I was trying to tell the person who answered what I was calling about, and she kept interrupting me and wouldn't let me finish. I finally got in what I wanted, she jumped in and said that person wasn't there and she would need to take a message. I never got a call back. (I left three messages.) I finally got through to someone today, and fought with her because I have been getting different answers and someone is clearly lying. This isn't something that could just be a mix-up. The order was placed or it wasn't. It's in or it isn't. I still don't have any answer to why it hasn't been placed and why no one contacted me if there was a problem. These people are rude, unprofessional, don't know what they're doing and are absolutely horrible to work with. Find someone else. read more
