When my furbaby broke her little toe just before New Year's, I was a wreck. But Rose Animal Hospital East Cobb location came through in a pinch! They got her in for a sick visit and got her splint done in less than a week. They have excellent customer service (and actually pick up the phone!) and a really cool Disney-themed office. My dog loves coming here (as it doesn't have the gross "vet" smell) and seeing all the smiling and welcoming faces. Bonus: They even have Disney instrumental music in the waiting room. I've been taking my dog here for a year and have had nothing but excellent experiences. Do not hesitate to take your dog here! My dog Charlie has a lot of anxiety and they treat him like their own family. They also are so patient with all of my questions and concerns and explain everything so thoroughly. They never push you to pay for services or make you pressured, and I feel that their prices are fair. They even helped me find his medicine for a lower price than they sold it for. Charlie has received grooming, vaccinations, x-rays, wellness visits, and emergency care there. They also partner with Blue Pearl for after hours emergencies. Dr. Whitlock, Brett, Jessica, Bethany are so sweet and caring and professional. I will never take Charlie anywhere else. Rose Animal has always provided great care to our cats. They outdid themselves this month. We were away for Thanksgiving when the cat sitter found our 20+ year old cat Skin poor condition- she apparently had a stroke overnight and couldn't walk and impaired vision. The cat sitter brought her to Rose. She lived a full life (97 years old in people years) and wasn't improving, so we had her put down. The folks at Rose were so nice, they even FaceTimed Skitter with my wife so she could say goodbye, and Skitter purred. In the mail today was a sympathy card signed by everyone at the hospital alone with her nose an face prints. What a wonderful and thoughtful gesture! read more

Riley, our girl cat, had inflammation in one of her eyes . . . and both of our cats (Sandy our boy cat) were due for annual exams. We took them in separately for our convenience. Dr. Sandra Lopez took great care of Riley whose eye infection was treated with some ointment and has completely healed. Dr. Kaitlyn Koenning gave Sandy his check up. We also had blood tests of both cats to make sure all was well. The Rose clinic is in an old but well maintained house on Atlantic St. It is a "pink" (dusty rose?) color which stands out. It has primarily dog clientele - which can be stressful on cats, but wasn't when we went. The entire staff were all very helpful, friendly and professional. First time visitors get a $40 discount, too. read more

Two stars only because Dr. Lopez is wonderful. I brought my 15 week old French bulldog here for an initial puppy visit and we saw Dr. Lopez. She was great. We returned for his boosters a few weeks later and again, she was great. We returned this week for boosters and unfortunately Dr Lopez did not have an opening that worked with our schedule so we settled for another vet. The pup had been feeling crappy and had some nausea/vomiting the morning of the appointment so we went 30 mins early to which we were told, you're too early you need to either leave and come back or wait... ok. So we waited for 30 minutes and then were taken back. I expressed my concern with the puppy having some nausea and vomiting episodes over the past week and we decided vaccines weren't the best idea for today but wanted to check his belly out fully. I also mentioned that I noticed he had an aural hematoma the night before that seemed to be resolved but wanted her to double check This is when things started to go sideways. The vet proceeded to stick Q-tips very forcefully down inside my dogs ears. He yelped and snatched his head away. I clean his ears out weekly with q tips and he has never reacted this way because I don't forcefully shove them in there. They then took him for an X-ray and I heard him Yelp from the room. I also heard a worker through the door say "he tried to bite me that little butthole" When the tech Returned him to the room she said that did not go well he bet one of the techs. This is a 15 week old 13 pound dog. Who has been around countless random people and has never and I mean never shown any type of reactivity or attempts to bite anyone. I held him for the nausea shot he received while the tech forcefully held his snout closed with her Fingers. $300 later and I will not bring him back. read more

Recently moved to Alpharetta and had gone to a different vet at first but had the worst experience there, so we immediately switched to Rose after reading all the amazing reviews on google and yelp. We went because my dog had red eyes and was scratching at it so we wanted to check it out and make sure it wasn't anything serious. The whole process was just great - they called my the previous vets to get Koby's records before the appointment. The Covid process was also quick and reliable. The tech came to get her from the car, the doctor was super communicative the entire time to tell us what she will be doing, and then again for the the diagnosis and treatment plan. Everyone was super helpful and sweet and very informative about what is going on. They really care, and it shows! Our previous vet didn't even bother to read her charts and kept misgendering my baby. But everyone at Rose was very knowledgeable and caring - knowing Koby's records, knowing her gender, making sure she wasn't too scared. The doctor even followed up on a previous issue from two months ago that I had forgotten about due to moving and everything - her bladder stones. We got the xrays done as well and luckily it had cleared out from her special prescription diet. It's really the little things that really matter, especially for busy dog parents. The prices were great as well. My sister had actually taken her dog to her vet for the same exact problem and they charged her almost $200 for everything (double the cost for Koby's diagnosis and treatment here)! Needless to say, my sister will be switching her vet to Rose after my recommendation. read more

They hold an animal fair once a year which I think is nice for the community My favorite part is that they treat the animals at their level, meaning they don't put them up in a cold steel table unless they have to. I was pleasantly surprised by my first visit to rose animal hospital. Due to COVID my animal was picked up from my car and the appointment with the vet was over the phone. They provided a carrier for my cat and the staff was very friendly. My cat has pretty bad anxiety so I was a little worried for him but the vet reassured me over the phone that he was doing great. We couldn't be more thankful for Rose Animal Hospital. We took our 5 year old golden here for a second opinion on a possible ACL tear. Without needing to do a costly x ray the doctor was able to tell just by the way he was walking the ACL was torn. They set us up with a specialist and gave us a mild sedative for our very active dog and the whole appointment was around $30. Our dog had his surgery today and it was a full ACL tear. Our first vet couldn't determine if it was even a tear or not... Thank you Rose for being so kind and for understanding animals so well, we only wish we would have known about you sooner so we could have skipped the other vet entirely and could have a dog almost half way through post-surgery recovery right now. read more

This is the Sloan/Grey Mem. Hospital of veterinary care. This place has some of the most competent,passionate and to the point staff for your pet. I love this place. I learn things about my dog no other vet notice in general exams. I do feel they're little pricey on speciality services if your dog is going through it, but Preventative is actually affordable believe or not. So for anyone who is staring out with a puppy or a healthy dog you're gonna love it here. TBH even if you need a whole Echo or something, you'll probably end up paying about the same price for sub par services. Look around if you must but at least Rose Animal Hospital Has their stuff together. read more

Our family recently adopted a dog from our local shelter. We decided to take him to Rose for the initial vet visit after doing some research online. We ultimately landed on Rose b/c of the positive reviews we came across online. While I have not personally been to this animal hospital, my wife has on a couple of occasions and has mentioned how helpful all of the staff have been, from the front office to Dr. Courtney, whom our dog saw for the visit. The main thing for us is the care and attention that staff show to our family and pet. When we don't feel rushed and know that our questions (although probably asked many times over by others) are answered with patience and thoughtfulness, it's a practice we can get behind. read more

Rose Animal Hospital is incomparable, specialized treatment for more-than-fair prices. I will never go anywhere else for my future veterinary care needs. I'm not even sure where to start. From scheduling the appointment (quick and easy) to the vet's eventual (and I think, well-judged) referral to a specialist, I was incredibly impressed. The most remarkable thing was the amount of personalized patient care. I told our vet (Dr. Wohlford and her team) that I had never spoken to ANY healthcare specialist, human or animal, for as much time as she took to walk me through every step of her care plan for my cat. She answered all of my questions--probably multiple times--and was truly invested in Ollie's welfare. I felt that she was very knowledgeable and therefore knew when my cat needed care beyond her means. And not only did she spend a lot of time with me, but she spent a lot of time with him. That's why I was shocked by the incredibly low bill I received for both of his visits. You WILL NOT find better care for a better price. You won't find bad care for a better price. I cannot recommend this place enough and I want to thank the entire staff for everything they did for us. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Lopez and the staff here. They are always on time and they are so sweet to both my dog and myself. I have a dachshund/chihuahua mix with back issues so we come to the vet more than I would like, but they never make me feel like a bad mom so to speak. They listen attentively and I know they really care about my fur baby. Their prices are reasonable in my opinion, and they always give you all of options. I've been to a place that pushed the expensive options on you, but Rose doesn't do that. Expensive surgery is last resort. I love this place, and I'm sure my dog would say the same (she is a chihuahua mix, though, so if she wasn't so neurotic she would definitely agree). read more
