How do you rate something that is used for a farewell ceremony? The location and facility was spacious and functional.

My wife and I decided to drive to Seal Beach today with our 3-Chihuahuas to a dog friendly…read morerestaurant named Rivers End while visiting this summer from Arizona. We attempted to park but a gentleman stood in the parking spot and would not let us park. He said his wife was arriving so we waited thinking she was somewhere in the parking lot? He was rude and obnoxious and after waiting 5 minutes....she still did not arrive. He became more obnoxious as we indicated he had NO RIGHT to block a parking spot and I advised I would call authorities if he would not let us park. He became more obnoxious and said go ahead....they just don't get it....so I did. Just before the Police arrived, two gentlemen came up to my window and said they understood the situation and they were leaving the restaurant so take their spot. WHAT GREAT GUYS....wish we got their names. So we parked within 50" and proceeded to get our buggy out for our dogs while this guy is still yelling at me that I am going to jail? Go figure? Seal Beach Police arrived and pulled up to him and I walked over. Seal Beach police handled it perfectly! One officer spoke to the other gentleman while the other came over to talk to me. While talking to the Officer, another young lady approached and she said that he did the same to her. Officer asked we to enjoy lunch and while walking to the restaurant, 3 other folks asked if they needed help as a witness since they saw everything! We had to wait to get our table outside and both the gentleman and his wife apparently were asked to leave. BOTTOM LINE: Police Officers have a very difficult job to do for US....don't know their names but handled it perfectly. AND....we live in Arizona so we want to thank ALL OF YOU that witnessed this unpleasant event and came to our support. This guy is a BULLY and we all need to STOP BULLIES......in a low key, reasonable and professional manner and that is what I tried to do. Otherwise, this BULLY will hurt someone/some day. Again, much thanks to the Seal Beach Police Officers that arrived on the scene and for those Californians that came to our defense. Wish we knew all your names but we Love you Guys1

There is plenty of parking out front. Two lines, one for appointments and one for walk-ups. Security guard asks questions like name and if you have any weapons, then leads you inside. Metal detector then wait for your name to be called. They have a screen with window numbers and customer numbers, but it didn't seem to update. They just called my name and which window, like the DMV. The young lady at my window was terrific, very friendly and personable. I needed to change my address which you can't do online or over the phone. She seemed surprised that this could only be done in person. Yes, it doesn't make sense to me either, but probably for security? After updating my address, she offered to print out a current copy of my social security statement which was very helpful. Overall it only took about 15-20 minutes to get in and out. I definitely recommend making an appointment although I did it a month ago, so if you need something faster, you may just need to wait in the walk-in line.

This time wait 25 minutes. Another person picks up from A DIFFERENT OFFICE. I said I have to speak to someone at Long Beach. She said when they can't pick up they transfer it to a different office. She tried to help me get connected to Long Beach. Waited 40 minutes and someone picks up from THOUSAND OAKS. I said to this person it's ridiculous that Long Beach is transferring to other locations because other locations can't help. When you are told you have to speak with your local office, you have to speak with your local office. Just waisting the day being put on hold and resolving nothing. They need to go back to the old way. If it's too busy the recording will say call back and the call is disconnected. That will help everyone not waisting their time to talk to someone who can't help them because it's not your local office.

TSgt Franco & His Team Are HEROES - 5 Stars Forever! We…read morealmost missed our shot.We first walked into the Lakewood recruiting office right as they were closing -- still in our 9-5 work clothes, sweaty, stressed, and thought we'd be told "come back tomorrow." But TSgt Franco and his team? They flipped the script. We called ahead just to check our luck. But they waited for us, kept the lights on, and sat with us for over an hour after closing time. No rush. No attitude. Just pure patience, kindness, and fire.Since then, TSgt Franco walked us step by step into the joining process. He patiently answered all questions that we had, kept looking out for us and checking on us to see what's missing and how we should prepare. In just 5 months, he:- Turned our "maybe someday" into sworn-in reality.- Locked in E-3 contracts.- Got us perfect, high-demand jobs that fit us like we were born for them.- Kept us motivated and pushing forward. He didn't just recruit us -- he believed in us, coached us, and fought for us when we thought our work schedules killed our chance. TSgt Franco isn't a recruiter -- he's a leader, a motivator, and a great friend. If you're looking for someone who cares like a family member, works tirelessly beyond schedule, and turns your dreams into reality, then TSgt Franco is the perfect person for you. We're shipping to BMT with full confidence and zero regrets.Thank you, Sergeant. You didn't just open a door -- you built the runway. We'll make you proud. See you at the top! Aim High... The guy was nice but gave me no new information at all. He didn't even take me to his desk to start my application. I was let into the building but wasn't offered to take a seat or anything. He just asked if I had any questions about it and vaguely answered a few and told me to come back after seeing a doctor in case I had anything in my medical records that would pop up. It felt very unprofessional and pissed me off so much because I drove 45 mins during my work break to speak to a recruiter and start my enlistment process. If anyone wants a recruiter that will be helpful, I suggest going to a different location. Maybe it was just the guy I spoke to but I definitely didn't return to this location after that experience.

It detours to drop some runners off at Edison HS, which basically adds 10min to the bus ride. . Had I known, I'd prob have sought nearer parking for the SCM and just bike the rest of the way. . I was here in Long Beach watching the news and getting ready for school when I watched as the second plane hit the 2nd tower. That memory has been with me since. While on a weekend trip to san diego we visited the air and space museum and were surprised to see a cruiser on display that was actually at ground zero! When I got back I thought to myself "I wonder if there's other artifacts that I can see around town". A quick search showed that there were pieces of steel from the towers here. So on 9/11 of last year, we drove out here to see the memorial and have a moment of silence for the victims. The memorial is located at the bottom of the staircase in a pentagon shaped base and honors all lost in the towers, flights as well as first responders. In the center stands a steel beam that was part of WTC donated by NYC Fire and Police. It's quite surreal seeing an object from that dark day in history.
