ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!! Save your money. extremely sloppy job. They just unload things where they want to unload them and don't care about the chaos they are creating! They unloaded so many boxes and black trash bags into our master bathroom and closet that you could not even walk in there. they move all the furniture with the drawers in the piece and just make it all a huge mess. They broke my perfectly good fabulous desk on March 19th- we are one day shy of May and they have YET to replace it. So many phone calls and get nothing but the run around. Nothing good to say about Ross! But what I can say is find someone else for the job because their level of concern and customer service SUCK! read more

Jerry and his crew of 2 more were excellent. Due to COVID circumstances on our part there were many changes in our move. Ross moving were very accommodating in the changes to our dates and places. When moving day arrived they came and packed and loaded the entire large apartment in less than 5 hours. Everything was carefully packed and arrived in perfect condition at our destination. I'm moving out of a 2nd floor apartment with exterior steps. They got all my large furniture as well as bunches of bags and boxes out of there and into my new place across town in about two hours. They do have a three hour minimum, e.g. you pay for three hours even if it doesn't take that long, so it's well worth it to have everything ready for transport when they arrive! I was planning to move a lot of smaller stuff myself, but the crew encouraged me to fit whatever I could into containers so they could take it then. Thanks! read more

I called them to move a piece of furniture from one room to the next. One of their movers came out and charged me 200.00 to do something that took 15 minutes...I feel ripped off. I called the owner and her apologized but said he sends employees out to make extra money on small jobs. I called ROSS MOVERS for this so I hold them responsible and feel ripped off. Ross movers was recommended by a few people. Saying they were the best in town. I will say Mr. Jerry was nice and affordable. However, I was not satisfied with the sloppy job his workers did. I moved from Louisiana to Houston, Texas. I was unable to meet them upon arrival. So my step mom had to come. She was about 10 minute behind them. So they took it upon themselves to open the back gate and start unloading things into my back yard. One being my son's battery operated dump truck. (That they moved out of my garage) They didn't even care enough to put it under the patio. So it sat out by the fence getting rained on for two days. It no longer goes in reverse. I had many boxes labled with what room to put them in. They disregarded those labels and stacked most everything up in my kitchen. Putting boxes on top of ones marked fragile. They had no respect for my belongings. Or my new home as they walked on carpet leaving wet, dirty footprints. I have scratches on many pieces of my furniture. They destroyed a lampshade that was attached to a stand that belonged to my now deceased grandmother. My 3 year old Samsung refrigerator was damaged. The top piece was not popped back on correctly. They managed to puncture the inside of the refrigerator about the size of a dime. I called the owner, Mr. Jerry Ross, explaining the damage done. And that I would not even hold him responsible for all other damages as long as he took care of the refrigerator. He response "Well we have never had any problems with damage to a refrigerator before." I did not know what the long term effects a puncture would be on the inside of the fridge so all I wanted was for him to hire a Samsung repair person to assess the damage. He still acted like it wasn't his problem to fix. Telling me things like "Well they had problems getting it out of your house." and "Leroy (his worker) said the popped out top piece was already like that." I was furious that he would try and put that on me. That is why I hired what I thought to be profession movers with insurance to cover any damaged items. Because he never called a repair man, I took to upon myself to hire one. Lucky for him the repairs were not major. Total bill of $79.00 that I paid for. I sent Jerry Ross the bill. Expecting him to pay for the damages. I have not heard a word from him since then. I have not received reimbursement for the money I paid for the damages his company did. I am a widowed mother of a 5 yo son. I am very disappointed that Jerry Ross would not own up to the damages. Shame on him and his workers. I was willing to look over the scratches on furniture, damaged lamp shade and even my sons dump truck if he would just own up to the damages done to the refrigerator. Now I will be contacting my attorney to get full reimbursement for any and all damages made by his workers. They were rude when unloading my furniture. One making a comment under his breath "I am ready to get the hell out of Houston." Very unprofessional!! And leaving this widowed mom to foot the bill for their negligence. read more

I have used Ross movers twice before and was quite happy with their service and affordable prices. This past December we hire his crew to move us from W. Monroe to Calhoun, Mr. Jerry was nice and assured us this was a simple move. My wife was there to direct the movers where to place the items, the movers totally ignored her and put them where ever they felt, they were suppose to put the beds up and because they were in such a hurry they didn't place the slats in correctly causing the box springs and mattress to collapse. After the movers left we began to find scratches upon the walls, cabinets, and furniture. Upon closer inspection we found three big tares in my brand new $1000 recliner along with deep scratches on my $3000 king size foot board. I reported these things to Mr. Jerry along with pictures of the damages he replied he would have to investigate and get back to me. I haven't heard one word from him since, I was forced to hire someone to repair the damage done by his staff, along with having someone check to make sure all the slats under the other beds were done correctly (2 were not, only one was) I was forced to buy a new recliner because the stuffing was beginning to come out. I have in the past had no complaints with this company but as of today I wouldn't use them to move a dog house. You have been warned, use this company at your own risk..... read more

Our real estate agent recommended Ross Movers to us -- glad he did. Extremely fair pricing. Very patient. Had three contracts fall through and Mr. Ross just continued to hang in there with us. Given the extended time frame, we were able to move more on our own -- so of course, Mr. Ross adjusted the price down. Moved from West Monroe to the Dallas area. Mr. Ross said -- look we can make this move happen in one day -- pack, move and unpack all on the same day -- which will save you some more money. Amazingly, we got it all done. Everything worked without a hitch -- not one problem. Nothing damaged at all. Would highly recommend. Great team. read more

We used Ross Movers to move my mom's belongings from Crossett, AR to a storage unit in West Monroe, LA. This company was recommended by a friend who lives in Monroe and had used them a few times before. I spoke with Jerry and made the arrangements. They charge by the hour, and he asked about the furniture being moved (how many bedroom sets, kitchen table and chairs, etc). He said payment is accepted upon completion of the move. No credit cards accepted, cash or check only. I called a week in advance to confirm. On the day of the move, his guys (Leroy, Tony and Kenny) arrived 15 minutes early and were ready to work! It was obvious they were a team before as they worked well together. They were done packing the van in 2 1/2 hours. My brother met them at the storage unit, and Tony (who packed the van) stacked everything into the storage unit like a jigsaw puzzle. I was very pleased with this move, the workers and interactions with Jerry. The job cost was reasonable. The workers were friendly and confident. I would recommend this company and will use them again to move my mom's stuff when she decides where she wants to live. read more
