I've gone in for motorcycle service twice this year and both times I've been let down. First time they blew all of my spare fuses and didn't bother replacing them. This past time they left me with a fuse blown, engine light on, and charged 5.5hrs on 3hrs of work. They work in a pinch but Stubbs in HOU is much better. read more

I just purchased a Yamaha ATV through this dealer. I was given a price & agreed to purchase. While signing the contract, I noticed the price had risen quite a bit. I questioned it & the salesman told me they were required by Yamaha USA to charge freight. $1,459 worth. I contacted Yamaha USA & they state they "recommend" a freight charge of $300-$400 for that vehicle. READ THIS REVIEW. They are crooks. I have undeniable proof! I purchased a 2019 Honda side by side (sxs) in June of 2021from Ross Motor Sports in Lufkin. It was roughly $25K. I also purchased an extended warranty. I financed it and paid it off in less than 18-months. Around Aug of 2022 it was running rough so I took it to Ross Motor Sports for repair. I said that I had an extended warranty and was told by their technician "good luck they have t been paying for any repairs." I waited months and was finally told that the warranty wouldn't cover anything. Here's where it gets crazy. They emailed me an estimate for $9800 to fix it. I couldn't believe it and took to it another shop. We'll all that it needed were spark plugs that cost around $200!!! Wow! UNBELIEVABLE! I was about to just write this off as a really bad experience but THEN I called to cancel my extended warranty to get a refund on it on March 21, 2023 and Honda told me that Ross Motor called and CANCELED MY WARRANTY AND COLLECTED MY REFUND. So they illegally canceled my warranty leaving me without any warranty, kept the money, fraudulently tried to get $9800 out of me for a repair that cost $200. THEY ARE CROOKS!! Worst that I've ever seen. My side by side is totally fine drives great after new spark plugs. Run from this place! read more

Had them put a tire on my bike. Had a death wobble at 60, It was 15 pounds over recommended tire pressure. The valve stem alignment was 8" off. Wasn't balanced at all. There's a dot on the tire to ensure the alignment is correct. It state's clearly on the tire what the proper air pressure should be and not balancing is just pure lack of caring about your customer or their safety. You'd think someone that deals in motorcycles would know how to mount a tire correctly for the safety of the rider at least. Had to pull the rim back off, had the tire installed correctly and rebalanced and it's fine now. Stay away from this shop if you value your life on two wheels. read more

Took my bike in for some warranty work on a switch. Bike was about due for an oil change, which I'd normally do myself, but since I was taking it in I figured I'd get them to do it. Opted for the "level 1" or lowest package. Picked up the bike a week later, to the tune of $193. Warranty work cost me nothing... so yeah... won't be going back there. read more

I bought a brand new Hyosung GV650 Avatar from them in 2010. Probably the last Hyosung they sold. The service department has basically told me they WILL NOT work on my bike. So much for service after the sale. I've spoken to owner about it and was guaranteed they would service my bike as long as I own it. NOT. Service manager refused to touch it last week, once again. Hey guys For those of you that own bikes or 4 wheelers , look out for these guys ! My goldwing set up for about 3 months so i decided to get to work and get it back on the road . I removed the front wheel assembly,took it to ross motorsports to get a tire mounted . Keep in mind i already had my own tire , I dropped it off on tues with a promise to pick it up wed . The service guy told me it would be $29 for the job total ! when i got there wed to pick it up my bill was $52+ . After questioning about the price change , The quy told me oh yeah you needed a valve stem too . Now i dont claim to be rocket scientist but since when did valve stems cost $23 ? To top it off they told me they always change the whether it was needed or not at no extra charge ! Needless to say my butt hurt after i rolled my wheel out the front door ! I got a 2007 Yamaha XT225 from Ross back in January for a great deal. I had driven from College Station later in the day, but they stayed open to let me check out the bike and get everything processed. No hidden fees or anything (e.g. no $300 "dealer prep" fee or any garbage like that.) This was all in stark contrast to a bike I bought (same model but older and cost more) from a place in Killeen a few weeks earlier that I had to return because they sold it to me with a broken odometer! I called and ask about rebuilding the Carbs on my 2005 Honda shadow 750 Spirit DC. They told me they do no not rebuild Carbs. Wanted Over $ 700 just for the Carbs. No telling what labor would have been. I took the Bike down to Houston and spent $250 to "Boil' the Carbs and re-jet. Runs Great! These guys are either Lazy or incompetent. read more

Looking for honesty ? Please look somewhere other than Ross MotorSports in Lufkin, Texas. We were looking for a previously owned atv and located one advertised by Ross MotorSports on Craigslist. When we called and asked about the atv, we were told how clean the machine was and there was no damage to the atv other than a small ding in the rear rack. The atv was originally purchased in Feb. 2012 and traded in April 2012 for a different model. After asking all of the usual questions about purchasing an atv we were quoted an "out the door" total price. After driving 3 hours one way, we arrived at the dealership and the first thing we were told is that the price has now increased $250 over night due to a misquote by the salesmanager. We then viewed the atv and found a quarter size hole in the front plastic. The winch didn't work. Needless to say we wasted 6 hours of driving time and fuel to get there.
