It took us almost 4 years to find Dr. Glinder after moving to the peninsula. We have really high…read moreexpectations for our doctors and we have one child with asthma, allergies etc. We have to see Dr. Glinder for a lot more than just the wellness visit. He is always in a great mood and excited to see the kids. He is the only doctor who has ever been able to handle both my very active boys. My children absolutely love Dr. Glinder. My son who has been hospitalized and seen a lot of grumpy doctors had developed a significant fear of doctors. Dr. Glinder transformed my son's opinion of going to the doctor!! When we needed to communicate behavioral issues and didn't want our child to hear what we said, Dr. Glinder had no problem talking to my husband in one room while I stayed with our son in another room. He is empathetic, understanding and kind to the parents. My husband and I both agree that he's the best pediatrician we have ever been to. I just wish we had him from the birth of our children. Prior to seeing Glinder, we were seeing a pediatric pulmonologist at Lucille Packard (Dr. Yuan) several times a year. After finding Glinder, we moved all our pulmonology treatment to Glinder. No need for the specialist - what a relief! This is a life changer for my little guy who had such anxiety every time we would see Yuan. I hope that Dr. Glinder is teaching/training new pediatricians at PAMF. One time, he pretended that my 5 year old was a human eraser on the chalkboard in the office. Every time we go to the office, my son remembers that. On another occasion when my son was having difficulty at the appointment, Dr Glinder told him to go find the secret light in the light house in the waiting room. It completely distracted him and got us successfully through the visit. The only negative I can point out is not about Dr. Glinder but about their waiting room. They have a huge t.v. playing all the time! For families who are trying to limit our t.v./screen time (as they recommend to us!), it is unhelpful. However, there's an area off to the side with lots of books and cool ocean murals on the wall that you can hang out while you wait. You just have to convince t.v. deprived kids not to wander over to the t.v.!

Five stars all around for this facility; it's too bad we never got one of those official clinic…read moresurveys. They have taken such great care of my two boys since we first brought them home as little 5 and 7 lb babies. They have helped us through the awful newborn phases and random daycare bugs, including a horrible round of RSV. Since I gave birth to my first son 2 years ago, I've met everyone at this clinic. No exaggeration: they are all wonderful. From the lactation consultant, Sheridan, to the triage nurse Ingrid, they have all made a positive impact on my experience as a new mom and beyond. They respond to messages quickly and in great detail; Ingrid will often call if needed to help guide you. I haven't met her in person, but she has been my guiding light for the past two years. MAs are also cool too; I feel bad for not catching their names but they've been so patient with scheduling and doing whichever procedures. Luckily I've had to only use the on-call number twice and I didn't have any issues. No one makes you feel like a dodo bird when you have a concern. Dr. Kadon has a way of connecting with my rambunctious toddler that he actually doesn't hate going to the clinic. And Dr. Shahin must be one of the nicest people on the planet; she's like friggin' Mother Teresa. They have been our two primary doctors. I've had to book appointments last minute so I've also had Dr. Kaufman and Dr. Renschler; they're excellent so you don't have to worry if you can't catch your primary. Each doctor is awesome: not only do they take such great care of your kid, they also provide support and assurances to you as a parent. Even with a screaming baby, you'll somehow leave this clinic feeling a little better than when you came in just because of how nice people are here. Your child is getting the best care available and the staff treats you with such grace and patience.

Both my boys have been registered with peninsula Pediatrics for the last three years…read more Fortunately, we haven't needed too many doctor visits other than regular check ups. We have had a few doctor changes and trouble getting appointments for the last few months but we let it go. However my younger son had an asthma attack and we had to call emergency services (who were fantastic) we were asked to follow up with his regular doctor to check his wheezing and oxygen level as it was very low when he was in emergency. I called at 8:30 (first caller according to the lady who answered) I asked for an appointment and was transferred to the nurse who heard me and refused to give me an appointment! I was a bit taken aback and started explaining to her that it's very important that my son be seen. She refused saying they had to keep appointments for other patients and it seemed like my son could wait. Upon insisting I was further told that while I was arguing with her all emergency appointments had been filled up by other callers. And eventually she said she double booked me with someone and maybe my son would be seen. I am so glad I called other Stanford facilities in Menlo park and we changed our doctor and practice. My son was seen by his new doctor the same day and so thankful to the doctor as he was still wheezing a lot and they had to increase his medication Would not recommend them. Very upsetting experience. Radhika

Having a baby is scary enough. There is so much to do... so much you feel like you need to know AND…read moreyou have to PICK A DOCTOR for your baby! I know I love my doctor but how do you find someone who you think you will vibe with?? Well, since I lived in San Jose and was having my baby in Santa Cruz, I was going to wait to pick someone because well...I just did not feel like finding someone without being able to see them interact with my kid. So all goes as planned....baby is born at Sutter in Santa Cruz and I agree to have the on call doctor do the check ups on baby E and release us and I would find someone else closer to home. Doc comes in... and it was LOVE. I mean it!! Since baby E was born, I have been driving back over the hill for her doctors appointments because even with gas almost 5 bucks a gallon... DR BRAVEMAN is WORTH EVERY PENNY AND MORE! She is witty, understanding and beyond thorough! I feel so educated. She really wants what is best. She is always researching, Her after visit summaries with all you need to know about the developmental stage you are in with your little one, could be the best things I have ever read. They are comprehensive without being overwhelming. Her staff is also wonderful. Each nurse (especially Nurse Hill) is fantastic! I am sadly, moving to Oregon this weekend but in the middle of the chaos that is my house, I looked down at Ella and thought...I need to write this review as a HUGE THANK YOU to the most comforting, responsive, understanding, educated doctor I have ever had the privilege of working with. If you are having a baby at Sutter (WHICH YOU SHOULD...go read my review about that too!) ... then you should try and get Dr. Braveman as your new babies doctor. She is seriously ....the best doctor any new parent could ask for.

The kids love her because she's fun, my husband and I love her because she is truly a partner in your child's health care. We've seen other pediatricians who are very good, but Dr. B. Is special and one-of-a-kind. I know some families who are making the hour-plus drive to see her in her new location... Including us. Worth every penny and all the extra time driving to see her. If you want a pediatrician who truly cares about your child, and will go the extra mile for them, she is the one you want.
