My senior citizen mom bought a pare of pants yesterday with the senior discount of $1.80 off her pants. She got home and realized they were missing a button. She was able to come back today the next day (wednesday) and she just wanted to exchange then for the same pants that didn't have a missing button. They refused to exchange them and charged her the $1.80 and told her since it isn't senior Tuesday today that there was nothing they could do. There is always something you can do. I specifically went based on a co-workers recommendation that I visit on this specific day because of a huge sale. I did and as you can see I spent over $200 on a multitude of items. All of the associates were amazing with the exception of one person and that one person caused me to NEVER be inclined to shop there again. In my world, Customer Service outweighs EVERYTHING and there is NO excuse for this young ladies lack there of. After I paid for my items, I was trying to exit the store with my Cart FULL of bags and she comes rushing at me yelling the carts don't leave the store over and over. Mind you I am older and disabled and parked RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE DOOR IN THE HANDICAPPED ZONE. At that point, am I seriously expected to try and man handle ALL OF THOSE BAGS BY MYLSELF? And not just me, anyone really who just spent the amount of money I did and there were SEVERAL other people who probably spent more and had more to carry? Or was I expected to carry what I could and leave the rest unattended while I made my way to my car with what I could carry? She didn't even give me a chance to reply. I am not just pissed, I am disgusted at the way I was treated. She did not offer to assist me to carry what I bought, she just turned her back on me and walked away. IF the problem is your fear of people stealing your shopping carts, may I point out: 1. That is YOUR problem, NOT MINE! 2. How seriously likely is it that I, or anyone else in my position ($200+ Shopper trying to pack what I bought to my car!!!) is going to steal your cheap-ass shopping cart? 3. Is it worth it to you for the amount of negative publicity I am fixin to generate posting this everywhere I intend to post this? What in the living hell made anyone think this kind of treatment of paying customers is OK? While I dont know the answer to that, I can tell you, y'all got another think coming! DISGRACEFUL! I only wish I would have gotten her name because you can bet I would have called her out. Regardless of whether this is a STUPID corporate order, SHE still made the choice to be an asshole! I really enjoyed this Ross. I bought all kinds of dresses for my granddaughter and a shirt for my husband. I also picked up some fun toys for my brother's kids. They always have such a variety. I try to hit the Ross stores when I'm on vacation. It's so cool that you don't have to pay sales tax in Oregon. read more

Ross used to be a decent place to shop for discount clothes. I am not sure if they are on the verge of BK or what the issue is, but the store looks like it is on its last legs. The selection is rather thin and the racks seem to be placed to make it look like the store is offering more than it does. Very weird flow to the layout. The prices are still pretty high for what they are offering. My female companion could not find a simple pair of black pants (normal sized) that were under $25. Most of the store was pretty thrashed. The toy section looked to be a neglected Head Start Day Care nightmare with unattended, children making a mess. Sorry, saw this demographic destroy so many places in California, it is tough to not be jaded and prejudiced. These are the same folks that brought you the annoying bars on the shopping carts so one can't exit the store with them. When your national song is about a cock roach...you do the math. (sigh). The loss prevention kid is too funny. First, his emblazoned LOSS PREVENTION vest makes him stand out like a clown at a funeral. I will give him credit for being eager and attentive. When a vase was broken on the other side of the store, he used Ninja -like skills to run over there to secure the area. He was very obviously staring down and using his super secret squirrelly loss prevention skills to open a can of whoop ass surveillance on some questionable shoppers. He laughed at my joke referencing the poles on the shopping carts, so he gets a gold star for being endowed with humour and wit. Just ditch the Bieber hair cut son, and maybe you will get more respect. I will not be shocked if Ross bites the bullet here soon. It just feels like it is on its final breaths. I came in search of a few kitchen items, and the offerings were sparse. I bought place mats, and the selection was small -- three different colors to choose from. Comforters: very small selection. There were very few people in the store, and clerks were nonexistent. Compared to other Ross stores I've been to in major metropolitan areas, this one is slim pickin's, as they say in the South. The store was clean. Ample parking. It's located in a woeful sort of shopping center. I wish they had more merchandise. read more

We came here searching for an electric blanket and a stainless steel coffee mug. We found the coffee mug, but no joy on the electric blanket. Oh well. This Ross is about on par with those of the Willamette Valley, except for fewer screaming kids which was a welcome change. read more

I'm not the person to leave reviews ever but this place is turning into a h%*ll hole the girls that work here are rude always. Brian is the only nice person and the only one worth keeping. I stood in line for 15 minutes and nobody on the cash registers knew what they were doing having Brian run back and forth fixing everyone's mistakes. After finally getting to the register and being called up the lady BLOWS HER NOSE INTO SOME DIRTY TISSUE right there in front of me no turning away to be polite nothing .. then she continues to check me out I tried my beat to be nice and not show my disguist she missed two items in her checkout I have no idea how they were pants and on top and first things she was given and in the process of checkout she double charged me for a dog best the last item and didn't notice at all didn't say anything. I left without my two items and double charged for a $20 item I called to ask if I could get help because it's a 30 mile round trip and nothing so I have to drive and spend the $20 they double charged me for In gas to get my $20 back on my card. This Ross needs serious help And the employees should probably at least ACT like they enjoy thier jobs while they are at them. read more

Wasted nearly an hour driving to and from bc the lady couldn't check to see if my size shoe was on the rack, but they just got a shipment of shoes she said so I went in. Saw more shelf than shoes. I have come in a few times to this location, and have had 2 irritating experiences here. First of all to all the employees that read this not all tattooed people steal. Me and my husband have gone in here the last 2 times and have been foloowed, and also trying on clothes was a hassle. Everytime I went to try on clothes the person helping there was super rude, having a rotten attitude about where I put my cart, and checking to see if I had items I was hiding. I feel ashamed to go in here, I shouldn't have to feel bad about trying on clothes. My advice get employees that like their jobs, and lay off the discrimination. Thanks read more

While Ross' is really a pretty good store for a variety of things from my new baby granddaughter's booties to a pretty scarf for my mom going through chemo to a Kindle cover for a whining hubby at half the price of what they are asking over at Staples, they could use help in the customer service department. Just because I am shopping on Tuesday doesn't mean I am a senior citizen, I don't care how far down the bags under my eyes are hanging. Please, for the love of decency, train your clerks that when they ask, "Do you want to take advantage of our Tuesday discount?" and the customer, especially a woman who looks like she is having a bad menopause moment, gives an icy glare in response, DO NOT REPEAT THE QUESTION! As a matter of fact, make your clerks the FAVORITES in the county and train them to say, "OMG! What was I thinking! You're YEARS away from that discount! You go have a great day you fantastic looking woman!" because that IS the only safe and courteous response! Thank-you. I feel MUUUCH better now. read more
