Zero stars. I'm five feet tall, I requested help to load a heavy ten foot rug into my vehicle, Because they were nice enough to have an associate Help me get it up to the front. But they (register #1)said I had to purchase it in order to hold I mentioned if someone could help me load it I wouldn't have to leave it and they said they should have somebody help if i purchased it by talking about the guy who helped me bring it to the front who was my same build . The line was wrapped nearly around the store. So by the time I got to check out I was at register 2. I realized after I said hello and heard nothing back She had a scowl on her face But her buddy came in for his shift and she was perky and gave him a greeting. Since the guy who initially helped me retrieve the rug was back on the register and guy #2 just walked in doing nothing at the time, I mentioned maybe she could hold him for just a second So that once I paid he could help load. She proceeded to mutter something and she d*** sure didn't offer to get her big a** from out of the register to go help me get my rug And bluntly said I had to get it handle it do everything myself. I can see how a lot of people would say that's my purchase. I need to handle it, But it went from a kind request and cooperation to absolute shitshow with this woman. She flat out ignored her co worker that leaned over one foot from her to talk , She claimed the earbud in her ear quit working, Which had nothing to do with somebody one foot away talking. And then she said her ear quit working also So I manhandled the rug and got it over to her and she held her hand up high like she couldn't touch it, I told her that was as close as it's gonna get if she wants me to purchase She might have to work today, Of course, that was her chance to respond with some stupid remarks in which I told her my thoughts. Everything was purchased and I told her I was going to leave the rug there after she said i had to move it, and i said since there is no help I would be back with my car up front. I went into this store to exchange some shoes that cost 19.99. I let the cashier know I just wanted to exchange for a bigger size but didn't have my receipt. The cashier said no problem, I can give you a store credit. Which was fine with me because I wasn't returning them only exchanging. Then she proceeded to tell me she can only give me 14.67 back for the return. Confused. I asked why is that? Are the shoes on sale now? she states yes. Then she states well I'm not sure, would you like me to get the manager? Absolutely! So the manager comes over their talking.Long story short she gives me cash back of $14.67 and tells me I can find something else the same price of the shoes I returned and pay the difference again I'm confused but I go find the same exact shoe to evenly exchange I ask the cashier I should be good because the shoes are on sale right she stands there looking dumb and then says no there not on sale we just can't give you back the full amount you paid because you don't have your receipt. Huh? What? Where they do that at? so I need Ross to explain why they feel it's okay to take peoples money if they don't have receipt? If I go to Marshall Tjmax Walmart any other store and I don't have a receipt they don't give me half my money back they exchange it for equal or lesser value. So I would just like to understand why Ross doesn't operate the same way? On top of that you lost a customer because of this stupid policy and Ross was one of my favorite stores but I think I'll spend my money elsewhere that can honor my returns with or without my receipt for the full amount not half. I would give them a zero if possible. Item was mispriced which was not my fault. I waited for 20 minutes for someone to unlock an item so I could checkout. I had to go to the checkout without the item an then have someone go get the item and I was a little frustrated, so l mentioned it to the cashier and I think made the the person who was supposed to unlock it and check me upset. She continued to make me wait even longer while she did several other things when she could've let one of the other employees do it, just for spite. When she went to check me out she charged me and put my items in the bag and proceeded to look at my receipt and then got the purse back out and said this is not the correct price. I can't let you have that for this. That's way too cheap and proceeded to rip the price tag off and to start a refund, the she told me I needed to swipe my card again. I told her that was what it was mark and she said well it not right and just continued and ignored me. Never ask if I still wanted the purse and was very rude. The next day I looked at my card and I was charge for my original purchase and there was also a charge pending in the amount for same amount that the refund should have been for. I went back and asked or a manager and tried explain and show her on the card the transactions that was pending. She acted like I was crazy and didn't know what I was talking about and said she didn't know what other transactions I could've made after that even though the other charge was in the same amount that the refund should've been for. Clean store with a lot of merchandise. More organized than other Ross stores and the associates are friendly as well. This is my go to Ross store from now on. read more
