Since I moved away from the Eastside a couple of years ago I don't really come here much anymore…read more Overall, the Roses chain has fell off since the 1990's and this store is no exception. The Walmart up the road has taken away much of the customers, but this store still has it's fair niche of shoppers. One thing that strikes my fancy is the fact that the store is definitely dated in terms of its appearance. This store has been at this exact location since the late 1960s and it is really showing its age. Maintenance issues aside, this store is not bad as far as prices are concerned. There's still some great deals to be had, especially in their furniture and home living department. This is the store that I go to first if I need to buy a lamp, clock, chairs, etc. Some departments are more well-stocked than others. I personally wouldn't shop here for clothing unless it is work-related, but they do have a wide selection of clothes for both men and women. The toys section is usually full. Pets department is hit or miss. Same can be said for OTC pharmacy and health and beauty aids. Electronics section is downright pitiful though. The store is never crowded, so shopping is generally a breeze here. The employees are not very social in regards to helping out. But that is a minor gripe though. It's far from the best looking store but I will always be back if I need something for my living room or bedroom.

They check your purse and bags at the door. They did have Girlie Girl, Southern Mess, and other cutesy shirts and accessories. Not sure I would go back.

BAM has every genre of books that you can possibly think of, including XXX books to enhance our sexual taboos complete with illustrations and pictures. Not porn, but more like instruction manuals type books. We could all use improvement in the bed right? Makes me wonder where and how the author learned them. Be careful reading these types of books in the store, as there are children here. Anyway...this store is neat, clean, organized, and very well stocked. Nowadays, people use their laptops or tablets to read, but there is nothing wrong with coming to a brick-and-mortar facility and reading the old-fashioned way.
