One of many crossings over the Liffey River in Dublin, the Rosie Hackett Bridge (Droichead Róise Haicéid) opened in 2014. It joins Marlborough Street to Hawkins Street. It is not open to passenger vehicles - only public transport, taxies, cyclists and pedestrians which includes the Luas Green line. The bridge is a single span concrete structure.
The bridge is named for trade unionist Rosie Hackett (1893-1976). Ms. Hackett was an Irish revolutionary and trade union leader. She was an active member of the Irish Citizen Army and participated in the 1916 Rising.
