Mm-hmm!…read more Since I moved to Roselle a year ago, I've been driving myself out to distant Goodwill locations and other assorted retail shops while overlooking this gem right nearby. Actually, I did know it was here, but I had poor experiences at other Salvation Army locations and didn't want to come here. A few months ago, I stopped in this location on a whim to drop off some donations and ended up being kind of impressed! It's one of the largest, sunniest, and most organized Salvation Army stores I've ever seen. Every section is clearly labeled by a sign hanging from the ceiling. The clothes are organized by colors and styles. The employees are actually friendly. And the prices!? LOW! Yeah, some things smell "old," there's a bit of dust in the air, some of the aisles are quite narrow, and some things seem kind of broken (I would recommend staying away from the toys and electronics), but it doesn't bother me. Somewhere in the midst of all of this, there is treasure to be found! While the clothes are a bit worn down and more along the line of spring break t-shirts than designer tops, this is my jam for last-minute grabs. Although I probably won't be filling my closets with clothes from Salvation Army, this is a good spot for pick up some clothes that can be dirty, items for homemade costumes, knick knacks, and furniture that you can upcycle. I am, however, currently wearing a pair of pajama pants that I bought here (don't worry, I washed them first). Oh, and as Candice mentioned in her recent review, the couches here are awesome. I found myself wandering around the dozens of couches, wondering if there was any chance that my husband would be willing to drop a few bucks on a new (and unnecessary) addition to our living room. There were so many to choose from and they weren't icky at all! We haven't found the perfect couch or armchair yet but I'm keeping my eyes peeled. By the way, donations are accepted at the Salvation Army truck in the parking lot of Nerge Road. I don't understand why donations are accepted this way, but hey, it's for a good cause. And it works.

Went in the back and the helper said to leave my bags in one area and pointed out the mound of clothes that looked like it might tip at any time. I was absolutely broken because I had lost three of my four dogs within two months. Gia has brought so much happiness laughter and meaningfulness to my life. I could never ever thank Maryann enough for picking my application out of many. For all her endless help. I send her pictures and videos and updates on Gia. She is so gracious to not just reply but to also text me asking how my babies are I don't think you would get that kind of personal touch from a different organization. I not only got Gia but I believe I have made some friends for life I have endless gratitude and admiration for the entire organization for the selfless incredible work that they do Gerry helped me with my vet appointments setting them up reminding me. Christina is now helping me sponsor some of their elderly long term dogs that deserve a second chance. They deserve to live their golden years in a safe loving home. I have adopted before from Anti Cruelty but this by far has been the best experience I have ever had with any organization.

I talked to Margie (rece) and she gave IRMA email to send message since ENZO (supervisor) wa s nt returning my messages and she also sent an email herself to IRMA requesting help. NO RESPONSES and email address seems to be nogood - returned undeliverable. These people are the end results of being sent from every other place I have called but they don't seem to care to help or even respond. All they have to do is tell me where else to go for help but they dont care.. I'm 77 and on social security so money is a major factor to me. $151.00 is a lot of money to me. THEY were referred to me for help. WHERE IS THAT HELP? I found another office in Schaumburg, called and GOT ANOTHER ANSWERING MACHINE -LEFT A MESSAGE. I know this isn't a major concern for them but at least take time to call back. I also left my email address with Elk Grove. No excuse for not being able to respond. VERY DISCOURAGED AND DISAPPOINTED. Guess my problem and request for help isn't important!
