First time coming to this Costco Gas station. As the Costco's in this area tend to be, it's a bigger gas station with 5 islands: the first four having 3 pumps (forcing the middle one to be parallel parked if necessary) and the far right one only having 2. This means there are 28 nozzles, and each has a light signifying if it is empty or not. All have the extend-a-hose, allowing gas to be pumped to either side of the car, regardless of which side you parked. Gas price was $5.46 today here at Norwalk.

Parliaments are about 2 for $6 (a little bit under) and the 72s are 3 for $9 and some change to $10. Not too shabby right? I generally only buy ciggies on the cheap. If I can get a bit of a discount why not? Why pay $5 for 1 pack? :)

There was little to no clear signage or communication letting customers know ahead of time, so people were pulling in expecting to get gas and then having to figure it out themselves. What made it worse was the staff's attitude. There were two employees working--one of them wearing glasses--and both came across as extremely rude when asked simple questions. Instead of calmly explaining the situation, they responded with attitude and seemed annoyed that customers were even asking. It felt like we were inconveniencing them just by trying to understand what was going on. Customer service goes a long way, especially when there's already an inconvenience like the station being out of service. A clear sign and a respectful explanation would have made a big difference. Definitely not a good experience, and I hope management addresses both communication and customer service issues.

The interior of the Am Pm mini mart is very spacious, with access to their restroom facilities. They even have their own brand of movie rental kiosk for $1 a day too! And of course, the gas prices. They were $4.09 for 87 octane, which was 4¢ cheaper than the Irwindale Arco by my house (which is my standard for reviewing all gas station pricing).
