I hired My Cute Maid to clean my apartment after we, as tenants, did as much as we could. I called…read morethem the day of, and they were able to accommodate which I really appreciate. They did a great job on the cleaning (I would have given 5 stars for the cleaning itself). However, I was displeased with the pricing and how the total came to what it did. They were supposed to be at our apartment @ 4pm, and got there at 6:30pm. One of their excuses, after an hour of waiting was they had to get food. Because of their tardiness, we were given $35 off. She asked what budget I was working with, and I gave them a high number. Expecting I would be charged for less. They ended up charging me that full amount + $10 because they had to bring in more people to help clean - something I was not informed on beforehand. However, it seems a lower budget could have promoted less cleaning. Before hiring, I recommend to: -Discuss what would be cleaned and how thoroughly it will be cleaned given your budget. *This would be smart to do for any house cleaning service -Confirm how many people will be cleaning throughout the duration of the clean *You are charged per person -Keep track of how long they took to clean *You are charged per hour Another tip. Check their website for discounts. We could have gotten 20% off, but didn't notice until after the cleaning.

American Housekeeping changed the formula for one of their cleaning products (the bathroom cleaner,…read moreI believe they told me) and used it in our home without telling us of the change. Because of the allergies and sensitivity of one of our dogs, this ingredient change resulted him in losing all the fur on the underside of his body and severely red, itchy, swollen paws. American Housekeeping was understanding when I called to cancel my service because of this product reformulation. They admitted the product had been changed, but felt it was unnecessary to let customers know. I realize the case with our dog is extreme. Previously, I had been using them for two years in two different houses and felt they were always punctual, affordable and did a good job.

After a month I got a call that I would be called later that day. I wasn't. Eventually, after 2 months had passed, and I'd left a voicemail that I was contacting Groupon, the service called me back to schedule a cleaning Thursday afternoon. They didn't call me or show up that day. After leaving 3 more irritated voicemails, I had Groupon credit me back the money. Totally unprofessional. Waste of time, totally frustrating. Zero stars, if that were possible.

A month ago her cleaning crew was in our house and allegedly was told it was a rental unit by one of Damistique'a managers. Upon returning to our home and realizing our loss, Chris did acknowledge that they did take our personal items out of the house. In fact, they did return some of the items but over $13,000 of our personal belongings have not been returned. I have filed a police report and to date Chris has not returned our attorney's outreach. I will be taking further action. This has been a such a violation of our personal home especially after working with them for two years and Chris acknowledging they did in fact remove our personal property.

Mother and daughter, co-owners and housekeeper team cleaned my home in March 2019. I have a 1061…read moresquare foot, 2 level, town home. It is 4.5 years old. My team had a staffing issue and arrived 75 minutes late. They did call and let me know they'd be late. Once they arrived, we did a walk through before house cleaning began. The housekeepers worked together as a team in each area. They worked efficiently and did not damage anything. They completed the house cleaning in 2 hours. After the team left, I placed items that were moved back to their original places. This was expected and normal. The next day as I looked closer at the completeness and quality of the cleaning, I noticed that my blinds were not dusted, there were many "dust bunnies" left on some parts of the floors and some pieces of furniture. There were streaks on some of the stainless steel appliances. I'd rate the quality as average and compared to my housekeeping slightly below average. The quality could be improved with guidance, from me, over 2 to 3 more cleanings of my home. The price for 4 person hours of work was $80.00; and reasonable.

I want to preface this by saying I DID NOT use their services. This is just my experience with…read moretheir communication and having them come to my home for a quote. First bad sign - they did not read the details if my project where I clearly stated this was a hoarder (non biohazard) situation. Second bad sign is they didn't respond back when they said they would. The response was no, they can't do the job after reading the details and looking at pics. The response was something I expected and was no big deal. Third bad sign is that they called me on labor day, having changed their minds and they had enough people willing to do the job, but they had to do it THAT DAY. I was already questioning their commitment to helping me, so I let them know I would talk to other companies because companies have canceled on me before. They said they wouldn't cancel use "if we say we'll do a job, we actually do it." I said OK, just let me speak to the other company who would be coming to do a visual quote in 3 hours. I gave them my maximum budget, and they said they were OK with what I set. Forth bad sign: I called them back and said I would be willing to work with them. Then they said they would need to come visually inspect to give me a quote, which was weird, because they already agree to the price I set. Final bad sign was that they came to do the visual and barely stepped foot into my house. They looked disgusted, and like they had no intention of doing the job. One of the women said they would step outside to discuss, but I was already prepared for a NO. THEY DROVE OFF INSTEAD OF LETTING ME KNOW WHAT THEY DECIDED. I had to text them and ask "So, you drove away - I'm guessing that's a no?" They immediately messaged back, saying they wouldn't be doing the job. Long story short, they flip-flop, don't keep their word, waste your time, don't pay attention to detail and, in my opinion are dishonest. A simple no, was fully expect and would have been appreciated instead of the run around I got.
