We decided to order a platter of 12 empanadas (mix beef & chicken) with Spanish rice for a get-together ($35 including free local delivery) and it was so delicious -- the empanadas disappeared almost immediately. I only wish we had ordered some more! The ordering process was super easy - I just sent Jaime a message via Facebook Messenger, but you could also text her number. We arranged for a date and approximate time for delivery and that was it. I plan to order tons of empanadas from D&J for any future gatherings asap!

If you are going here expecting the quality of food the Sweet Shop had, don't…read more They have ruined the food of this restaurant that had been here for 40+ years - we ordered food from here a few weeks ago - when picking it up, the hostess said that they hadn't had much business that day, so they knew exactly what we ordered. The bacon, egg, and cheese on a rool was a bit greasy - the bacon was inconsistent between the two sandwiches - one was piled with crispy bacon like the Sweet Shop made it, the other had chewy, almost raw bacon. The plain hamburger? It was pretty much the quality you encounter in a school cafeteria - chewy in a bad way and filled with gristly. The pork roll, egg, and cheese on a roll? It was a crime what they did to the pork roll - it was sliced paper thin, and there were only a few slices of it on there. It was like the person cooking it had no idea how to make it. Then we get to the biggest crime of all - the home fries. Anyone who went to the Sweet Shop probably had those delicious home fries at one time or another - huge chunks of potato, amazingly seasoned, delicious even if you picked it up and brought it somewhere else to eat. Not these - these are those cubed frozen things you buy at the supermarket that they toss into a fryer, then when you bite in, your mouth becomes *full* of grease. It was disgusting. I hate to have to write a review like this of a place that used to be good, but the new owners obviously have no idea what this place meant to people in the community - and they ruined it.

First of all, their professionalism and mannerism is a Class A Act, and Chef Brian and his staff were extremely attentive to the guest and detail. The food was so artfully presented, simply mouthwatering, and some of the best that I've ever tasted in all of my 70 years!!! All of the guest in attendance left asking the same question ... "WHO IS THAT CHEF !!!" If you are planning an event, it is my suggestion that you adjust your calendar to fit Chef Brian's schedule. Heavenly Eats, without a doubt, has set the bar high!!!

My mom is a phenomenal cook and my sister, whom I adore with all my heart, I know is secretly judging me. Lol. We like to one up each other when it comes to hosting. Not wanting to cook everything this year, I decided for the first time to cater some of the food. It was not easy looking for a catering service in my area. I did not have much to go with. What made me choose this place was solely based on the business's photos and their great menu selection. And the prices seemed very reasonable. Here is what we ordered: - Beef Stew Latin Style - Wild Baked Salmon Over Spinach (winner) - Chicken Francaise - Seafood Pasta over Linguine All half trays and I appreciate that they included serving utensils. Portions were generous and the food was restaurant quality, delicious, tasty and perfectly seasoned. Everyone loved it. Once you place the order online, it is best to call or follow up with an email to confirm the items ordered, price and pickup date and time. I highly recommend this catering company.
