He drives with his hands at the sides and mainly with one hand and teaches students to drive with both hands at the bottom of the wheel. He also would be on the phone with other people while in the middle of my lesson. I paid $500 in total worth 2 days of 2h adult lessons each and on the 2nd day we were driving, I was doing pretty well for the most part, but at a certain point in me having to make a turn at the light, I slowed down & made the turn, & as I was turning the wheel back, I was trying to carefully bring the steering wheel back to get into my lane and he jerked the wheel while he's sitting in the passenger seat as I'm driving, making me move it back to get in control, which caused it to go over a curb, almost into a ditch. After that he got mad at me when his hands shouldn't have been on the wheel. Nothing happened to the car, he simply overreacted, ended the lesson, and went back to the driving school. Now I'm currently going to another driving school where I can actually feel like I'm being taught with some patience and respect and not feeling handheld and shown with hypocrisy.

We did look at other schools in the area and even tried one of them out, and another that we cancelled because they did not show up on time. After looking at a lot of reviews Safeway Driving First Colony had the highest satisfaction rate so we opted to try them. There were other schools that cost less but so were the reviews. Sometimes you get what you pay for and this is definitely one of those times. We are 100% satisfied with the service and highly recommend.

They answered all of my questions with ease, and my my decision to sign up for their program without any hesitation. They also had a promotion at this time, so I lucked out with paying a little less than their original price. I'm a 31 year old new driver, and I can't believe how driving for the first time came became so easy with their guidance. At first the 6-hour online class seemed a bit dreadful, but in hind sight it was extremely helpful and I learned a lot. I took my lessons, and passed my DPS driving test through Safeway all within a month. I would suggest Safeway to all new drivers, and recommend Nagib as an instructor! Will Thornton was the instructor for the DPS driving test and taught me new tricks and tips even in my last session before the driving test. At Safeway, you have an option to book an hour session for your DPS driving test. You get a 45 minute refresher session and get tested in the last 15 minutes. I felt comfortable and confident and passed my test with very few mistakes!

She waited for the instructor in the shade as it's 100 degrees outside. He didn't see her and told her "This is America, I don't know what y'all do in Colombia but you need to get with what Americans do. You should have walked over to my car at 9am." He also called me and repeated this same message. Dan taught her parallel parking and she doesn't know how to part forward facing into a spot. The manager said today because regular parking isn't on the test . We are having trouble with turns and staying in the lane. I told the manager I was not happy and shared our experience. He said Dan is an excellent teacher and not racist because he's Hispanic. I never called Dan racist I said I was offended by that comment. It's unkind to tell someone that. Our driver doesn't know the basics and uses her blinker at roundabouts and leaving the driveway. Dan told her to use the blinker each time she goes left or right. The manager recorded my call when I was complaining and I asked to speak to someone else. He was not helpful at all. I didn't feel heard or like he cared. I would not recommend this driving school to ANYONE. Complete rip off. They will just take your money.
