This hotel should realistically be rated as 2.5 stars, and not a 3.9 how it is currently listed. I give them that rating because the staff was very friendly and it was an overall clean hotel in a nice location. But in all honesty, this hotel has a lot of issues and I would not recommend it to anyone due to safety/security reasons.
There were many issues throughout our 5 night stay, especially with their security lock system. The doors are opened with a physical metal key and the doors and door knobs are very weak. On two separate occasions in the middle of the night somebody tried to enter the room and had a key to the room. Had it not been for the door chain inside our room, the intruder would have gained access and God knows what would have happened. When we went up to the front desk to report it and to ask that they look through the surveillance video, they told us there were no cameras. They have signs throughout the hotel stating that there are surveillance cameras, yet the only camera in the building is at the front desk.
Aside from the security issues, the hotel is very outdated and definitely needs many upgrades including central AC and replacement of their mattresses. There is no AC in any of the rooms. The mattresses are very worn and old, and when you sit on them, there is no support and you can feel the wire mesh of the mattress with very little padding. The breakfast they offer every morning is very basic and decent, but not worth the $20.00 per person charge. read more
