It's quite possible to spend over an hour just browsing through these things before you even make a start on your shopping. This, however, tends to make the overall shopping bill far more expensive as it's almost impossible to progress to the foodstuffs before you've half-filled your trolley with things you hadn't set out to buy in the first place! I therefore prefer to shop in Morrisons across the road, however this is an excellent store and well worth a look if you've got time to browse.

Most if the staples are here at a cheaper price then the main supermarkets. There are also the specials; so you can go in for bread and milk and pick up a high precision microscope or a trotting harness at the same time The Port Glasgow Lidl is slightly larger than the Greenock store but otherwise there is little difference.

So naturally we stocked up on groceries and snacks to bring along. It's a good-sized Foodhall with the good quality and value that we enjoy at M&S. Got basic groceries like veggies, fruit, milk, crisps, water, soda. But also some aged sirloin steak, Picanha, Pizza, pies and sausage rolls, Prosecco, M&S Classic wine (Chardonnay, Pinot from New Zealand and Ripasso from Italy), several packs of cookies, blood pudding and haggis. Even the car park is VAST and there is always a space to park my car, and it is never always that full, it is much roomier than compared to Greenock's Store. Even if the item are not on the shelf, you can be able to ask at the customer service desk, to order for one, and they will reserve it for you. Even you can be able to do online shopping from this store, and I cannot fault this store at all. It is brilliant store.
