Let's just say it was a genuine biohazard disaster zone. William (Bill) Swawell of Servicemaster was one of the few people who returned my calls and did me the service of coming out to inspect the space despite the miasma. He and his team did a great job processing large quantities of garbage and biohazard waste but were sensitive and careful enough to pick out all of the treasures (ie old family photos, important documents, even loose change) buried amongst it. He has stayed involved with clean up projects and helping me to manage a lot of work that still needs to happen at the house; it is essential to have someone I can trust doing this work since I am out of state and cannot directly supervise. Bill has earned my trust for the quality of his work and equally important his honesty; he refunded the unspent portion of our initial deposit down to the penny. I hope you don't need ServiceMaster...it's a disaster mitigation service and no one wants a disaster. But when (not if) disaster hits you will want a team like Bill and ServiceMaster DSI involved in putting your life, home, and/or business back in order.

There were three men who came to do the work with one of the men called RuBin acting as foreman.. While two of the men got started on the job , Rubin started to ask this client personal questions and giving her some unsolicited remarks about his life. This conversation made my friend very uncomfortable and she retreated back into the the house. When the work was completed , Rubin came to the door and told the the owner that Amy would send an invoice for the completion of work but that invoice didn't include their tip so she wrote a check to Rubin for the tip. " WHAT" Since when do you pay landscapers a tip. This was a very scary experience for her and she felt violated and taken advantage of. Needless to say she won't ever use Andy's again.

Then just this last weekend amidst all the straight line winds and micro bursts that plagued Rockford last weekend I had a very large pine tree blow down on my garage. I called late on a Saturday leaving a message not expecting to hear from anyone until Monday. Tony called me back Saturday night to touch base. He came out on Sunday and gave me an estimate the same day. We had to wait to move a dumpster out of my driveway so his equipment could get in to do the job. As soon as it was moved he was there the next day with his crew. He gave me an estimate and went over what I wanted and what the estimate covered. He told me what additional he could do and how much extra it would cost if I wanted it. (IE Stump grinding vs bare minimal tree removal) They were fast. They were professional.
