I was a little confused at first but soon realized that you actually go inside to place your order and then they bring the food out to you. I ordered a glass of white wine and the shrimp salad. The wine was delicious and perfectly complimented the salad. The salad was good. It was a little small so I wish I had ordered something else because it didn't satisfy my hunger but it was super tasty! I loved the gorgeous views provided on the patio. Everything was just so nice. The staff were great. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Trier!

The schnitzel, while served as two pieces versus one giant piece, was decently (but not perfectly) executed. Crispy, somewhat tender meat (could have been more tender) and a very flavorful sauce with fresh mushrooms. The spätzle was soft and buttery. Almost melted in my mouth. Take the time to locate this gem outside the main tourist area and you won't regret it. It's in a very residential neighborhood and frequented almost exclusively by locals.
