Here are some thoughts: --I ordered a sausage and pepperoni, and it might be the best pizza slice I've ever had! --Not only was it good, but the slice was gigantic! My father in law is in town and wanted to take him for a quick slice at Rosati's Pizza. I've never been to this location and I'm happy his first experience was this location. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a smile and a "welcome to Rosatis Pizza" from Aurora. The dining area is small (I believe this location is for take out or delivery only) tables were clean, floor swept and windows spotless. Aurora was very patient as my father in law came from So Cal and had a few questions about Chicagoland Pizza. We placed our order for a 12" Pepperoni pizza and waited at the bar table facing outside. What impressed me was Telma the Manager came out and asked if we were doing OK and welcomed us. You don't witness managers appreciate their customers very often so for Telma to come out of her way to greet us was/is a HUGE PLUS thus the 5th star. Rosatis had many customers coming in for pick up and the delivery driver was kept busy! This showed the pizza must be deeeeeelish. Once our pepperoni pizza came out we could smell the tastefulness making our mouth water! My father in law took his first bite and OOOOOMG he was shocked. We both finished the 12" in less than 10 minutes lol We will back if not i will most definitely be back to try the calzone two of the customers were raving about. Barrington has a small and prosperous business community where we treat each other with courtesy and respect in a civil, dignified manner. This is why I was shocked and utterly disappointed to be treated with conduct such as this. I believe that all of us have something good to offer, a "gold nugget", if you will, and I do not believe in leaving bad reviews or feedback. BUT this experience was so over-the-top dreadful that others should be aware: Soggy doughy wet uncooked nauseating mess of a pizza. Harrowing experience with incompetent unskilled cooks. Horrible preparation of product, pizza dough and uncooked sausage. Dreadful service, rude and vulgar profanities used in response to request for help with my order and a hang-up to my phone call requesting help. MY ORDER ON May 16th: I ordered my pizzas over the phone from a very polite young lady who described the doughs to me, stating that the thinnest dough is very crispy and the regular thin dough is also very crispy, just a little thicker. I told her that I wanted the pizzas crispy and she said she would convey this to the cook. I ordered one of each. WHAT I RECEIVED: 1. The tiny sausage bits were perfect - but larger pieces of sausage were raw - uncooked. 2. When I bit into the pizza slice it was undercooked, like ravioli dough or lasagna dough. It was so unappetizing to the point that it upset my stomach. 3. My pizzas came delivered at the time specified. The phone was given to a man after I called and described the problem to the lady who took the order. He would only state that he was the "OWNER"/in charge---- no name and that he made the pizzas. Out of control, and needlessly rude, he screeched at me in an infantile manner, "i don't care about you", "fu**you-b***h!" 5 times, then I calmly tried to talk to him, but he had already hung up. I'm confident the food here sickened me. It's the only food I ate in the last 24 hours that I did not eat in the proceeding days. There was also a good amount of pork....It was also half of what came up on May 17th. JUST FYI: Also, I am a BAKING ENTHUSIAST who knows great pizza from a professional standpoint, am almost 70 years old and have been baking pizzas with all types of crusts for years. But today, I found that my yeast was not "active" and just wanted to simply order a GREAT pizza from Rosatis - as I used to do many years ago.... This was a real a let-down. read more

Worst service ever. The way I was treated by the rude person at the register when I went to pick up my pizza has cost me their business. Forever. I ordered a pizza and had an online coupon on front of me for $5 of an order of $25. I asked the person I ordered from if I needed to order online to use it. he said no, he would take the $5 off my order. When I went to pick up the pizza the person at the register was rude, condescending and cost Rosatis everywhere, my business. She refused to honor the coupon. She said it had expired and that there was no record of anyone saying they would note it on the order. I asked for the person who took the order. She said he left already. I asked to talk to the manager. She said that was her. I asked to talk to the owner. She said she was in charge and they would not honor it even though it clearly states on their site that it is $5 off $25. I told her it wasn't the $5, it was her attitude, how she treated me and her lack of respect, or willingness to work with me or let me talk to her supervisor. I really love this place! Rosati's Pizza is one of the best pizza houses here in this area of Barrington. They have plenty of flavors and unique offers. Their style of making their pizza is really great. You can literally find some flavors exclusively at their place only. Highly recommend! They also have chicken, pasta, baked goods, beverages, and desserts. Everything on their menu is very affordable. All of their offers were on point and worth trying. You can find food here at Rosati's Pizza that can really satisfy your cravings and fill your stomach up. The food here is really delicious and great. The best pizza spot in Chicago. Great food at a great price. Awesome staff. Incredible customer service. Their location is very accessible, easy to find, and near other popular places around the area. Rosati's Pizza is convenient. Their waiters/waitresses are decent, friendly, and attentive. All of them are well-trained and professional. They all know how to do their job properly. You can really tell that all of them are nice. You can freely ask them anytime and they will answer you right away. They greeted me the time I entered the place and one of them assist me to a vacant spot. Right after that, they get my orders and serve me a glass of water. They served all of my orders on time and while the food is still hot. I am really impressed. They are really hard-working staff. If I could give zero stars I would. I did not get the pizza I ordered and it was all slide to the middle of the box. when I called to tell them that the girl on the phone said it was rang in wrong. Then the owner got on the phone and said he'd send me out the correct pizza. I told him I didn't need 2 pizzas and can they just give me a credit for next time. He said no this is how I'm going to do it. I told him ok I would then go to social media and write a review. His response: "do whatever the fuck you want" Yup nice business owner. Growing up nearby, we always went out of our way to order from the LZ Rosatis, as it was owned by the family and the food was better. Imagine my surprise this summer when I was on Yelp and saw this location was owned by the original family now too! So, we ordered. My boyfriend said he wasn't a fan, but it's been his idea to order from Rosati's since. I've always been a fan of their thin-crust pizza, and the double dough is also delicious (and pie-cut!). I do also like their cream cheese/cheddar cheese jalapeno poppers. Their chocolate cake, they say it serves two, and it does. In short, this location is now leaps and bounds above what it used to be, and I love their food. All the people have been nice and friendly. They do have daily specials listed in their menu, and they're more than willing to tell you the day's special if you ask. While yes, the pizza can be a bit pricey, I always have felt that it was better quality than some of the large chains with a $5.99 large. The ingredients always taste incredibly fresh, and there's a good number of them. There's also always a nice complexity of flavor`on their pizzas, everything just works together and compliments each other in a really satisfying way. With cheap pizza, I'm hungry 20 mins later, with Rosatis, I actually fill full and satisfied. read more

A Barrington resident with family raised here and have been using this Rosati's since 1998. I realize management/owners have changed over the years. This past year we have had the worst service in all that time. The last two were a phone call to order that was put on hold and then hung up in 2 minutes. Called back and phone rang ( no pick up ) for over 5 minutes. Put the order in online and went to pick up when told and still had to wait 20 minutes longer. This is a order for dinner for two people, nothing extravagant. The last order was online from their menu but when arriving was told those items are not longer made here, asked for another item listed on their online menu and was told they no longer make that either. Finally get something after another 15-20 minutes there was no "sorry for inconvenience" or anything. Fine for a slice now and then but this place is NOTHING special now. read more

Rosati's pizza is good, not great. In a city that you can find good pizza it is middle of the road. However, when you are in Barrington, IL it does the job. So, the product is good, not great. The service is okay. It's really just a delivery/takeout place and the people working the counter are usually polite and friendly. Here's my issue. I periodically go in to get a couple of slices and depending on who is working and the time of day I either get charged $6 or $8. The menu says $6 for 2 slices, but the owner and/or manager suggested it was only $6 when you ask, prior to payment. It, of course, doesn't say that anywhere on their menu. So they are deliberately overcharging for 2 slices and then suggest it's your fault if they do. I've worked in food service for 20 years and can tell you with 100% certainty that is bad form and bad for business. Because $2 once, twice or even 10 times does not equal the amount of money I might spend over my lifetime. So I'd say if you must have a slice of Rosatti's you don't want it from this location. read more

Yum! This is one of our go-to pizza places now that we have moved back to Barrington. We usually get a thin crust pepperoni and a salad (we like the Italian salad) plus some mozzarella sticks. My family and I love coming to rosatis! It absolutely has the best pizza in town so it always keeps me coming back. They have great pizza specials on Monday and Tuesday, it's buy one get one free!! We were craving a deep dish and when we saw the chicago style on their menu we decided to go for it. Won't make that mistake again. I have to say, i have had a lot of different deep dishes from many places and this ranks near bottom. There was next to no sauce first of all, tomato chunks were there which is good but that is it, chunks of tomato and no sauce. Secondly, it was more of a thick crust than a deep dish. They definitely have a good amount of cheese but even on the thin crust there was little sauce. The Cheesy garlic bread was pretty bomb, but if you fuck that up then i don't even know what to say. I have never in my life had a delivery driver make me come to them. Apparently this Rosati's has a "new" policy that they are not going to come inside my building and deliver the food to my door. I have to answer a phone call, leave my apartment and walk downstairs. I guess Rosati's forgot what the word DELIVERY was... They make ok food, as I have ordered from them multiple times because the other places around me are even worse. Guess I need to raise my standards on Italian cooking. I will never be ordering from this Rosati's again. Call the one on Dundee, they have drivers that actually do the job I paid them to do...the fact that I tipped this person before hand, makes me very angry... as she deserved nothing but her delivery fee.
