The dress was stunning, the service was outstanding, and the entire experience felt truly special. Jesse gave us a fantastic deal and made what could have been a stressful situation feel easy and even fun. I can't recommend Steven's Bridal enough -- they're a gem in every way. I have my receipt for proof of purchase & pictures to prove my claims. 1. Make sure everything they promise you is WRITTEN on your invoice the day you order your dress , otherwise they will say it's not included! (Ex. Dress back Bow) 2. Dresses don't take more than 4 weeks to get there! They say it's longer 3-5 mos just to pressure you to buy & order asap! 3. Our Dress came in different than the floor sample (color hue & design, cheap quality) 4. Make sure you ask to see the Tailor the day of your dress fitting! (Tailor informed me that ALL DRESSES NEED some Tailoring no matter what!) 5. Make sure you thoroughly INSPECT your dress from the inside out before leaving the store w/ the dress! (Loose strings, loose flowers, stains, uneven fabrics) Once you leave the store with the dress they will try to refuse any complaints about the dress you didn't catch the day you took it home! 6. This business (Steven's Bridal & Boutique) is not registered with the state of CA or LA County. Your payments are made to an individual (Steven Acevedo) and not a business. Ask to see ID of the individual you are making $$$ payments ! My daughters Quince Dress had loose & miss placed flowers, stains, loose strings & jewels, very poorly made overall! Not worth the price! They gave us a "used floor sample bow" because they didn't make one new for her dress. The day of her fitting they didn't bother steaming the dress first. Took it out of the shipping box on the spot super wrinkled. Everyone here is very unprofessional. Don't trust this place overall!

We told her we would look around some more and then ending up right back to her, my niece loved her dress. My friend had bought a jumpsuit here for her wedding and had a great experience, so it was the first store I went to when it was time for me to find a dress! I knew that I wanted color in my dress, and Lorien had many options for me. The second dress I tried on turned out to be the one! I came in knowing what kind of cut I was looking for, and Amanda pulled every dress in the store that fit my specifications and was so helpful and knowledgeable as I tried everything on. She was also amazing at not pressuring me--I told her I had an appointment booked at another shop, and she encouraged me to go and see if I could find a dress to beat my Lorien dress before making my purchase decision. I've heard horror stories of brides being pressured into buying a wedding dress the day they try it on, so I deeply appreciated the pressure-free experience I had at Lorien. I doubt I could have found my unique white-with-colored-flowers dress at many other shops, so I'm very lucky to have found Lorien!

So I had an hour to kill before the start of something so I explored Pasadena's streets and came…read moreacross this high-end bridal shop. And I do not want to sound like I have no knowledge of big city life but it was the first bridal shop that I have passed in my life that looked like a tv set. So this Yelp is kind of more my experience window shopping for dresses I never will buy, never will need, or never will likely see on a person down an aisle, because isn't window shopping seeing something and imagining its story? Or just imagining the story of how it would look on us? So I am not sure the person's name but as I was taking pictures, a woman enthusiastically waved at me. She saw that my actions were quiet joy and she made it ok for me to continue my journey through glass. So one of the wonderful things about the shop is that I saw a woman having a bridal fitting. It was the woman in white, a guy and what I thought was the staff member that I want to say was the tailor. I stopped myself from describing her as a seamstress. Sometimes progress has to be loud to be seen. Moving on from that, I wondered what the bride-to-be was thinking? I used to know someone that felt that the money that was about to spend in the wedding was too much. But his future wife and her mom really were full steam ahead, lavish wedding or bust. He talked about the regret of spending so much when there are kids who need food to not be starving. I also know that some people say that society has created an opportunity for women to truly see the wedding as the important day of their life, as. a way to keep patriarchy in tact. So I wondered how did bride to be feel, like she was living a dream that she wanted or was expected from her? And I do not want to take her moment of glory for her, if this was her grail. I mean I hope that she obssesses over cakes for weeks and eventually the first moutful is heaven delivered by a fork held by her true Angel. But like I said I window shopped. Looking at the dresses they were also pretty! Like I could see how this place was expnesive. I also saw the wracks filled with different dresses. There was also this dress that had this huge ruffle bottom. Like thee reuffles would the womans leg and get to her knees. It was so dramatic. I wonder how it would sound the the aisle and would the woman really have to focus on her steps so she did not trip? I can see someone going here for a fun fitting that inspires wonder.
