He sighed loudly several times and made a couple of negative remarks about my body that made me feel incredibly self-conscious and disrespected. When I asked him to focus on my shoulder blades, he overworked the area to the point of discomfort, then rushed through the rest of the session. At the end, I needed to use the restroom, which was located outside. As I grabbed my sunglasses from my bag, he raised his voice and aggressively asked what I was doing. I was so flustered I didn't even check out or leave a tip--I just wanted to get out of there. This massage was a gift from my husband and was meant to be a relaxing, enjoyable experience. Instead, it turned into something that left me feeling mistreated and deeply uncomfortable. I saw a negative comment here about someone getting a therapist they didn't like and gave a one star review. Here's my answer to that: YOU'RE HEALING IS YOUR OWN RESPONSIBILITY. Shit happens. Sometimes it's not a good fit. Maybe the room is wrong or you're just not vibing with this particular massage therapist. So say something. Stop the massage and ask for another therapist or the one you want. This is your time that you have paid for. Don't lie there for an hour getting angry then leave a one star review. Don't be a victim. Get what you came there for. It's up to you to leave relaxed and fulfilled. Every massage therapist there is excellent or they wouldn't be there.

I started at the Newbury Park location and struggled through my first few classes BUT the inclusive energy and encouragement was evident and I felt so good afterward. I started with Yin Yoga which was a combo of meditation, sound bath, and holding gentle poses. I have taken basic yoga, hot Pilates, and hot yoga flow and every time I see small progress and improvement. I've branched out to the Westlake Village studio for the infrared sauna, ice bath and leg compression. I am stickler for clean and both places are extremely clean. They clean the floors after each session and I never experience strong odors. The Westlake Village studio has plenty of parking and a welcoming entrance. The studio has an open setting and a calm serene aesthetic. I really feel this place is becoming a regular self care destination. Please consider this studio if you are new to yoga and want a positive introduction to the practice.
