Ficus Elastica 'Tineke' in a new brown and white pot, lemon lime Maranta and a plant coaster

The cutest plant shop in downtown Salisbury! Healthy plants, unique pots, and the coolest planty accessories!! The girls here are so sweet and helpful. And they serve slushies and wine! What more could you want?! Pay Roots a visit! You won't regret it.

The employees are passionate about their job and are very welcoming and helpful when it comes to picking the right items, or searching for something specific you're looking for. They have great deals and prices on certain items. Not sure if it's always or just through Mother's Day. But their hanging baskets were buy 2 get one free! That's a great deal you can't pass up! From the street, it's looks like a small location, but once you walk in and walk through, it's goes so far with more trees and plants! They have a nursery shed avaiable to boost the TLC of yours plants. Such a beautiful place that can catch you spending more time than expected. Love the garden decor that have available as well!

I saw some buckets with lovely items - cut greenery - and on the window, there were prices for x number of stems. It looked like they were selling them. This woman about to enter the store raised her voice and was telling me things - she was rude and spoke with what seemed to be an Irish accent. I assumed she was a customer so I basically told her I didn't ask for her to say anything to me. About a minute later, this nice guy comes out and helps me, which I appreciated;however, this is the last time I buy from Godley's. The woman was someone who should NEVER be around customers. She has zero customer service. Since the guy came out to help me so quickly, I believe this rude woman actually works there. Sadly, this experience is enough - their flats of annuals aren't worth giving $$$ to a company either run by or employs this person without keeping her completely away from all customers. She was NOT having a bad day either.

Great little up-scale consignment shoppe in Salisbury run by a seasoned and studied gentleman. Walk…read morearound and take a good long look at the pieces on display and you start to appreciate the subtle but distinct difference between cost and price and value. Came in the first time on a lark: stopped in town for a nosh and a sweet after looking at a trailer up the road a piece and on my after-luncheon constitutional I happened across this trove of treasures. Looking through the glass I spied more and better items than I've seen in my wanderings of late; even those items that run contrary to my tastes are appealing for their substance if not their styling. I stepped inside half looking for a bright wall sized piece for the living room and found everything else instead. Jeff and I exchanged pleasantries and a few adjectives as we discussed the variety of items and how this all got to North Carolina. Turns out that the items in store come from clients across the country with the possible exception of the upper plains. Urns, vases, and statuary; period furniture and screens; silks, oils, prints and water colors... capturing all manner of subjects from wood ducks to orchids to the human form. In a blow molded world with press board bases and faux finishes Stately Homes houses an assortment of enduring and endearing objects. Yes, it is someone else's stuff, but I'm not sure how that's even a thing.

If you're tired of resin molded plastic and particleboard, Stately Homes is a breath of fresh air. Enjoy the interlude there is so much to discover - a treasure trove of the fine things.
